GAA Discussion / Point from Handpass
June 18, 2012, 12:49:21 AM
Was watching Sunday game tonight and one of kildares points was scored from a hand pass, Kavanagh was through on goal and he had another man inside him. Between the two of them you would imagine it was a sure goal. Kavanagh fists it over the bar and the commentator says it was the right thing to do. How the f..k was it the right thing to do. It was a definite 3 points and he only got one.

This seems to be always be the case when a forward is one on one with the keeper and he fists it over the bar. "It was the right thing to do". For me its the handy way out and it is only encouraged by all these idiots that say is the right thing. Why not say the player has just missed two handy points which is really what happened.

Anyway since the game is called football what is the reason that a hand passed point is allowed. Why did it not go the way of the hand passed goal and is it now time it did

GAA Discussion / Will Kerry go Negative ?
August 17, 2011, 01:36:15 PM
As the day gets nearer I wonder is Jacko starting to wonder how his tired legs at the back are going to deal with young legs of the Mayo forward line. Will O'Connor be coming up with a negative defensive system of his own. Remember the way the Tyrone boys who kept beating them all through the 00's blew up in croke park the last day when the legs went. Is it possible the same could happen to some of the elder Kerry lads.

Maybe Kerry will have to resort to the tactics that Galvin and Tomas O'Shea are famed for. A bit of off the ball for the young lads. A few sneaky blows here and their should sort them out.

Is this the Kerry thinking..? If so, will they be able to back it up.

Is anybody going to this.

Should be a great weekend away.

I see clubmayo are doing a package for €1149. A bit steep methinks.

I booked flights a few weeks ago for €270 and Fitzpatricks Hotel for €135 euro a night. Thats €1100 for 2 of us.

What price are others paying and where are ye staying

GAA Discussion / Provincial Accumulator
January 31, 2007, 04:00:18 PM
Im just after doing my annual accumulator for the provincial championships. I went for Cork, Mayo, Donegal and Meath at odds of about 725/1. ( A real long shot I know but hey worth a try).

Any opinions on other combinations.
