None of the Irish players bar McGeady are fast enough to take on the Spanish defense. Weshould get Duff off and bring on McLean. We need someone to run at them.
Throw on Hunt too and as you said let them run at them.

Might try and hi-jack the thread as well. Got the first anniversary coming up in August and looking somewhere nice with Spa & pool for 3 nights or so. The Missus is Due in Sept so looking for something in Ireland. From Tyrone but don't mind the travelling, would be willing to go as far as Kerry (Just to see what the animals are up to at this time of the year).

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good value deals on at the minute?

Is it your first? I couldn't see you doing all that travelling 8 months pregnant, too many stops, my wife couldnt go more than about 30miles before I got  "I need to stop"

Very true, it would be very hard on you with the wife being 8 months preggers.
You'll be fit to kill her.
Oh and it might not be that easy for her either.

When someone gives you an address and you tell them you'll find it on the sat nav but they still spend next ten minutes giving you directions even though you interrupt them several times to tell them that you'll find it with the fecking sat nav.

A packet of Jersey Creams and a pint of cold fresh milk.
Good man AZ a man after my own heart.
Jersey Creams are my favourite biscuit along with Chocolate Goldgrain.
They don't make Jersey Creams the way they use to though, you use to be able get them like the custard creams but now they are shaped more like a bourbon biscuit.

As for the question though I have to say my favourite snack is chocolate.
Favourite would be a Double Decker or Wispa Gold or a plain old Twix. I'd eat any type of chocolate expect a Bounty bar.
Also love Black Magic and Bournville.

What will they do with 24 teams?
Fair point.

6 groups of 4.
Winners and Runners up = 12 + 4 best placed 3rd team through to the last 16.

I just read that the 2016 euro championships will have 24 teams. Ie 3 times the number in 1988.
That sounds like round 1 of the fuball qualifiers.

In fairness there are far more European countries now than there was in 1988.
24 teams is a bit much though in fairness, though I suppose it might mean we qualify more often.
I was thinking there are more countries alright.
12 teams would be enough really.

12 teams would make it awkward Group wise. 3 groups of 4? then it gets messy with semi finalists, ie is it the winners in each group with best runner up? 4 groups of 3 means only two games each which isn't ideal.
16 is a good number because you have 4 groups with first and second going into 1/4 finals.

Sorry Laoislad

Gp back to dreaming about the glory days with the Swedish women!

I think Longford and Laois will be kept apart in round 1. We may meet again in round 4!

After the Swedish bird went back to her homeland when the summer was over I started courting a girl from Ardagh..
It was like playing in the Champions League for a few weeks then been sold to Accrington Stanley..

Can we get Longford again? I hope we get Longford again...........

The last 3 episodes of Touch were very good, it had been pretty average for a few episodes before those 3.

I found myself getting bored with it.  The last few episodes definitely lifted it up a gear.

The oul series links are running low at the minute.  Game of Thrones over, The walking Dead, The American Office, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire

I have all of this series of Dexter to watch though, so that should keep me busy for a while.

Any new series starting up shortly?  Falling Skies isn't a bad series.  It should be starting soon

Watched the first season of Falling Skies, looking forward to Season 2.  Boardwalk Wmpire is the next target.

Just started watching a new series called Continuum, seems good so far.

Lethal tournament so far..............................for fanny that is ! Football has been poor but some of the things in the crowd are lethal !

Anything good from Sweden or Ukraine? Must be something decent from those.
I lost me cherry to a Swedish girl.
