Bristol City leading the Premier league runaway leaders 1-0 at half time in their home patch. Deserved lead also as they have managed to hold Man City to just two shots on target.

if Parkinson  knew any different he woiuld not be long saying it . micko helped them overachieve and they got notions . sounds straightforward enough

Overachieved? i don't think so. It was the best batch of Laois players to come along in one space of time and all that Micko did was to display some of the potential they had. I remember reading article a few years ago not sure if it was from Parkinson or another player but he said the underage success made some of the players think they were stars already, they would go into bars in Laois where the walls were lined with their pictures and total strangers would come up to them and buy them pints. All of this probably gave them the attitude they didn't had to work as hard as other players less talented.

Not even the great Micko could get that group of Laois players to achieve their true potential at senior level.

Good watch that was. Old age is certainly a curse.

Rochford said yesterday that D Vaughan,S O Shea, C Barrett,L Keegan will miss most if not all of the NFL due to injury. Kevin Walsh does not expect to have Sean Armstrong (back), Fintan O Curraoin (broken leg), Michael Daly (knee) and Gary O'Donnell (ankle) for much of their Division 1 campaign while Gary Sice has retired.

I wouldn't be panicking over the representation from any club at this time of year Duine Eile, there is no earthly way Moycullen will have 5 starters every day, given a full pick against Mayo next May there won't even be a chance of 5 Corofin lads in there.
Genuine question and without descending into a West/North Galway argument, who are the North board players who are available currently and haven't got a run in the two matches so far that should be playing?

There's a bit of a rush to anoint Sean Andy and Cooke as certs for the first fifteen as well, you'd be very hopeful they'll turn into good players but realistically we have no idea how they are going to fare at Senior level.

Don't think there is much choice with Sean Andy. Do we even have another full-back in the squad apart from Kyne (who we've seen there before) and Sean Mulkerrin (who is even younger than Sean Andy)?

I don't think David Walsh who started against Kerry is even in the squad any more.
He didn't look good enough in the FBD last year, hard to believe he was given a start v Kerry in AI Quarter final

Derby almost fluked a draw fair play for that? United tonight had 28 shots on goal, 10 on target and hit the post twice. Rashford especially must be still wondering how he didn't score at least one goal. Goals came late but would have been daft if United didn't win that game.

Derby played well, they worked very hard and were heading for a draw, Utd still not able to put away their chances which is worrying.. some team is due a drubbing if Utd click but they have to improve their on their shot goal ratio

Camped in their own half for most of the game and hoping their opponents don't score isn't playing well. Bristol City lower than Derby in Championship table at least had a go v United and were rewarded with a win

You have to break these teams down, if they set their stall out like that then it's up to Utd to break them down, 84th min it took and 28 shots on goal is a poor return don't you think?

They were broken down often and as i said already they almost fluked a draw. Playing well IMO is not giving loads of time and room on the ball to your opponents to create as many chances as United did last night.
