When playing in a doubles competition, shots are given based on the lowest handicap in the fourball.

The actual number of shots is three quarters of the difference. Should I round up or round down when calculating three quarters?

If, for example, the lowest handicap player is 10 handicap and you are 16 handicap, three quarters of 6 is 4.5, therefore the 16 handicap player will receive 5 shots.   If you are 17 handicap, three quarters of 7 is 5.25 and you get 5 shots.
