Hasn't he a son or is it 2 playing for Moorefield??

Éanna and Cian. Cian was suspended for the final.

Donnellys Hollow

O'Connor has been helping them out training at various stages since the two boys joined a few years ago.

He hopped the fence at the county final when Whyte and Flynn were sent off and has been a more visible presence ever since!
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

Syferus

It was interesting to hear Luke Dempsey talk about Jacko ringing him up when he was the Moorefield manager. Essentiallly open horse trading going on when his sons were choosing (lol) a club. Moorefield are probably in for a rude awakening when they play Corofin.

Was interesting to see him on the line yesterday. Didn't realise he was involved to that extent with Moorefield. I'd assume Glavin must have asked or agreed to him getting involved at least, so he probably has added something to their setup.

Glavin definitely agreed to it. He is a novice manager, only 32 years old, and is a smart guy. The chance to learn from someone like O'Connor is not one to be missed.

When did Glavin stop playing? He was a decent footballer at underage.

He was a decent footballer at senior too. When Kildare beat the reigning Leinster champions (Westmeath :D )in 2005, he was the best player on the pitch. I think Sweeney was sent off after about 15 minutes that day. He was their captain when Dempsey was the Moorefield manager. Injuries caught up on him.

Donnellys Hollow

His Kildare career never really worked out. He was an excellent centre back/sweeper but Kildare still had Glenn Ryan when Glavin was u21 and Mick Foley was coming through at the same time. Nolan and Crofton tried him as a roving full forward for a while (think he played there v Westmeath in 2005?). He had bad luck with injuries then and McGeeney never fancied him much. He was always one of the better club footballers in the county.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro

Full forward never suited him, the ball didn't stick and when on the ball he never had time. A far more composed player when out the pitch. Was part of a decent u21 who came very close to winning Leinster too.
