Am I wrong in thinking that the original premise for the Tolls was to pay off the Contractor's costs in installing/ upgrading the roads? When will this be cleared?

Yes but seeing as you can make a few bob and people are conditioned to paying for it then job done!!

The contractors have a term of something like 25 years. The East Link bridge in Dublin has already passed this point, the council just uses it to generate money.
I expect the other roads end up in this way over the next decade or they might require the contactor to build something else to be allowed extend the term.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Dunno if the right thread...

QuoteSamuel and Letitia Cobane (original spelling) left the village of Carrickmore, County Tyrone, in 1875. The family settled eventually in Washington State. Five generations later, one of the brood, a young Irish lad called Kurt, rattled a few auld tunes out of a guitar. #Nevermind

There you go - Kurt Cobain originated from Carrickmore.

The short lived Poker tee brewery from Carrickmore named one of their beers Nirvana on the back of that.

It's a Muslim country, why would it be WTF? FIFA knew this and so did Budwiser

So everything was put in place inside the stadiums to sell beer in the hope they a: they wouldn't be noticed and b: allowed to sell it to spectators? The 11th hour U-turn is the wft part I'd say

I can see this tournament being cancelled halfway through or something. Something mad will happen.

Lloyd was mistakenly written as Floyd in New York and became a reasonably popular name in the US.
If any town in Tyrone became Cobane it would have to be Strabane
