Galway could play their hurlers next week and still beat that shambolic armagh team.

The hurls might come in handy for that game.

Tyrone seem to be playing very like Mayo. Man to man at the back (and very open) but great running from deep and working the ball well to the shooters.

Am waiting for part 2 when she explains why the children are with him. Is she originally from Donegal, as I am wondering if I am confusing who RG married. There literally haven't been fball talked in 20+ pages

Apparently she was on about doing her A-levels in a post on social media that the wife read out to me earlier. My wife wouldn't know Rory Gallagher unless he had long hair and a guitar but she seemed to know a lot about this issue earlier and alerted me to the controversy. That folks is how this is going to escalate and no matter the facts, this is not going away quietly.

League form means nothing when it comes championship. Roscommon are better

They were certainly better today. I'd be holding off on the post mortem for Mayo just yet though.

https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/2023/03/27/mayos-request-for-division-one-final-to-be-played-on-saturday-turned-down/

Mayo's request for the Division One Football League final to be played on Saturday has been turned down – with the clash against Galway going ahead in Croke Park on Sunday at 4pm

As it should have been. Giving Mayo an extra day to prepare for the Roscommon game would be slightly disadvantaging the latter.

I'm not sure how that stacks up. Roscommon have 14 days to prepare for the game against Mayo. Mayo have 7 (or 8 if they got the Saturday). It would lessen Roscommon's advantage by a day, but they would still have had 6 days advantage and a game less played.

Acceding to Mayo's request though would be seen as the GAA contravening their own fixtures list and being disproportionately (albeit slightly) in favour of one county over another.

I know it's a minor detail and not happening, but I'm still not seeing how either way it could disadvantage Roscommon who are not playing at all this weekend. The fixture disproportionally disdvantages only one team and that is Mayo, who have a league final this weekend followed by a championship game 7 days later. Roscommon have a 14 day break after the league and Galway have a 21 day break after the final.

RIP Farrandeelin. I always enjoyed his outlook on Mayo football, and I hope his family have access to his posts for the memories as boards.ie was obviously important to him.

Who is the dirty tr**p in the body warmer had his hands in the eyes?

Comer is certainly no saint but that tr**p needs a very long ban whoever he is.

Comer looks a bit shook since that clash with the Armagh keeper.

I'm hopeful for tomorrow but it's through ignoring our long record of losing finals. I think the fact that we've lost finals in all sorts of ways by now, we are ready to actually win one for a change. It gives me hope that the only team to lower our colours in the championship at HQ since 2012 has been Dublin.
