Pity its a smallish club like Brighton, even though its EPL, its still a football limbo of sorts until he gets a transfer to a top club, not unlike VVD at Southampton. AFAIC he could slot into most top teams.

He was always going to go this summer, just a matter of to where.

He seems to be a good young pro by all accounts. Kept his head down, didn't huff and just got on ith it. A manager's dream to work with.

Good business by Celtic. I don't think Kyogo will go. He changed his agent recently and I'd say his new agent has put this out there (Man City link) to attract attention but I can't see him going to City.

Celtic have saved a good bit in wages this summer - cleared a lot of kads off the books and trimmed up the squad.

I don't know who their talent scout (s) is but seems to be that the do very litte.  I can see why Rogers left the first time around.  Content to dominate poor competitions in Scotland but get shafted in Europe.

bannside

BR might be content to dominate domestically for a few years and collect plenty of bonuses. His relationship with Lawell and probably Desmond is intact, I'd say he isn't rocking the boat too hard. Another three or four seasons beating the likes of St Mirren and Kilmarnock will leave him in a fantastic place financially.

And if you think that dosent matter to him, think of why he left to go to Leicester. Show me the money, Brendan.

While Lawell is there collecting massive end of year dividends and bonuses on the back of financial performance, don't expect any ambition on the pitch other than a run in the Europa.

At this stage BR is onside with them. That's the cartel that matters inside Celtic Pk, and Rodgers is complicit at this stage. Imo.

I'm as frustrated as you guys but lets wait until Friday nite and see before we get the daggers out...I know history tells us we'll get shafted again but if that's the case come Friday nite then we can launch the knives (and not in the back...lol)

Wish OReilly nothing but the best. He gave us a few very good years.
A bit nervous about recruitment but won't give out until the window is closed

You couldn't make this stuff up,
Matt O' Riley crocked by some idiot hard man Crawley Town hatchet job, some minute into his debut for Brighton.
Not even a yellow card was dished out.

Seen that, pure idiot. was a red card and he never even got booked. 10 minutes into your debut too...

That's why i'm always in the "sell team" if the money is right for any player...they can get crocked at any time

There's a few Celtic players  who soon after their exit got crocked, Larsson, Sutton, Tierney and now O'Riley who needs to have surgery done.

Seen another angle of the challenge on O'Riley, it gets worse every time you look at it. The Crawley player should receive a lengthy ban plus the referee should be sacked for not even giving him a card.

Just how fecked financially are Rangers?

Hardly end up in a second liquidation? The circumstances for that are surely unrepeatable?

That said i guess they're up to their eyes in debt, they wouldn't be future proof in the slightest?

I know they're now squatting in Hampden, but the rumours suggest Rangers don't have enough money to pay for the renovations to Ibrox.
Anyone else hear that?

Celtic have agreed a £11m fee with Augsburg for Arne Engels which is a club record...If the rumours are true Frimpong has been sold to Barcelona for £50m-£60m, if this is true Celtic have a 30% sell on clause on his contract so Celtic should receive between £15m-£18m which more than covers the above transfer...No matter what you say about Celtic they are a shrewd bunch of hoors when it comes to the ££££

Wont be as high as that surely. Barca skint... but still able to spend somehow

Reasonable draw in Champions League, away games look most difficult. Might qualify for the knockout but anyone's guess as to what is needed in this new format. Perhaps not the most exciting set of fixtures.

Most probably the 30% sell-on clause takes effect only on that part of the transfer fee which exceeds whatever BL paid to Celtic.
Engels looks a good signing, young and technically gifted, means he could well be a valuable investment as well.
