Irish Government really should finish this scheme and send them sectarian bigots over the edge, they'd go into melt down and tell N Ireland to play their games elsewhere.

I see the North as more bigotry/sectarian, more resilient, better footballer's & less diverse...Ohh & better Tayto

More tolerant??

What I meant by that is the Mexicans are more willing to accept what the Government tells them whereas the Comanches up here don't really listen and do their own thing.

Every team no matter how bad they are will get a chance or two in a game and usually if they're bad they don't take them. When you step up to a higher standard then these teams take a higher % of their chances so in theory you do get punished more the better team you play but you also change your tactics to suit. Last year bar that humiliation in Madrid which i had the pleasure of watching inside that wonderful stadium were close games and with a bit of luck could have went for us, Maeda was sent off after 20 mins or something like that and yes we were 1-0 down but never looked like a hiding was coming but when we went down to 10 men the wheels fell off.

We will not lose every game in Europe and I'm hoping we get 2-3 wins this year as we have a few teams to play at our level, as for Idah he looks like a guy we just found in the Park and not a £9m player (at this minute, hopefully things change soon as he has shown he can do it)

Was at the game and it's nearly like the norm and not as exciting beating them now as it's expected, they're so bad and mentally p155 poor. Sevco were the better team in the first 10 mins but once Celtic kicked into gear they went into their shell. Even though Celtic's goal was disallowed they fell to bits after that and mentally they were beaten. Hopefully a stronger Aberdeen can challenge them for 2nd place.
As for the last we flurry at the end where they had a couple of chances, that's to be expected when you're beaten and you just give it one last blast for a consolation goal tat never came

Celtic have agreed a £11m fee with Augsburg for Arne Engels which is a club record...If the rumours are true Frimpong has been sold to Barcelona for £50m-£60m, if this is true Celtic have a 30% sell on clause on his contract so Celtic should receive between £15m-£18m which more than covers the above transfer...No matter what you say about Celtic they are a shrewd bunch of hoors when it comes to the ££££

Quote from: Main Street on August 28, 2024, 12:41:26 AMYou couldn't make this stuff up,
Matt O' Riley crocked by some idiot hard man Crawley Town hatchet job, some minute into his debut for Brighton.
Not even a yellow card was dished out.

Seen that, pure idiot. was a red card and he never even got booked. 10 minutes into your debut too...

That's why i'm always in the "sell team" if the money is right for any player...they can get crocked at any time

I'm as frustrated as you guys but lets wait until Friday nite and see before we get the daggers out...I know history tells us we'll get shafted again but if that's the case come Friday nite then we can launch the knives (and not in the back...lol)

Scott McTominay is not a target for Celtic for his fee and wages. That man is probably on in or around £100k a week plus £30m transfer so we'll rule that one out.
We've 7 days to get the finger out of our hole and get 4 players in which is looking unlikely at this stage, as much as I like Scales and a good lad he's not going to improve the team and Taylor at LB who is actually a great wee player and is super fit and gets stuck in he's vulnerable at LB due to his pace and size and is targeted every game in CL (and rightly so). MOR needs replaced and def one more midfielder or winger. That's my 4 as I don't expect Kyogo to leave and the Man City thing is just a thought with no official bid thus far.
Clock is ticking Celtic...

Quote from: illdecide on August 22, 2024, 11:06:54 AMI didn't want to start a debate about Covid as I know it would be controversial I just wanted to state that people up North didn't and mostly don't do what they're told and will regularly break the rules a lot more than our Southern brothers. I was using Covid as an example...not if i agreed with it or not.
You did say "wear masks and stupid stuff like that" ... anyway we'll move on and agree to disagree...

Fair enough...didn't realise i'd typed that...sorry.

I think the people up North are more hardened and take less sh1t and I mean that from like being told what to do. Covid is a great example. Down south everyone adhered to the Government's rules whereas up North it was no way near as strict and a lot of people just refused to wear masks and stupid stuff like that. I mean that in a way that Northerners are far more likely to rebel against something than Southerners...(this doesn't mean I'm proud of this BTW).
Take the tents around Dublin canal for example...them tents wouldn't last 20 mins up here...again i'm not condoning anything here just stating what would more than likely happen, Northerners have obviously had a tougher upbringing due to the troubles and treated like second class citizens most of their lives and anything they ever achieved they had to work ten times harder for it than down South but things will and are changing as the new generation come along who have not experienced this "get to the back of the bus" sh1t from our neighbours up here. I suppose almost all of the racist attacks seems to come from the Unionist community who are a lot more racist than the nationalist community and these incidents currently on the news are all from the Unionist communities but I suppose they're still Northerners...

We have to trust in BR that he will get another 2-3 players in before window closes, A LB (no cover there at all) and a left CB is crucial. If O'Rielly moves on then we need a replacement for him. If he stays then an attacker in the form of a winger or striker is needed. Whether we can get these players in is to be seen.
It's so frustrating the way Celtic do business, other clubs identify a player and just go and buy them with little to no fuss but with Celtic it drags on for weeks and weeks with negotiations after negotiations...Urghhh

I'm 80% sure Rian got a straight red at the end there but was at the far side, old age & them colours all look the same from that distance.
It was a decent game with both teams having their chances, I thought Clans just about deserved it but we're under no illusion that Cross will be a different animal later in the Championship (like last year) and will get better. Clans are a young team and maybe a few younger ones got a wee bit carried away with the win but sure for them beating Cross in a Championship games is unheard off so let them have their 5 mins of joy.
Though the Ref was ok, a few ones i was frustrated with and a few soft enough too so suppose they evened themselves out. Was standing beside a few North Armagh ones (club not disclosed) who let a few roars out of them when Cross scored their two early goals, I suppose it's their prerogative who they cheer for but you'd think if they have any ambition of winning the Championship they'd want the big guns out early.
