Interesting.

Is he a poster/lurker here?

Has there been a reliable economic prediction in the last 5 years tho. The world is a different place, the certainties/constants that predictions require are gone.

Armagh win by 2 (2.9 to 2.7) after looking like they were going to choke and throw it away after being in control throughout. Cavan much more aggressive in their pressing and application in the 2nd half, could have nicked it.

Out of Armagh's 2.9 I'd say the forwards contributed 0.2 maybe, that's a good & bad stat.

One for Armagh fans, saw this on the Armagh site - Killian the football genius blog, some decent highlights in Cork for a fella sitting with his phone. Fair play to him.

Watched a brief clip of Harris's acceptance speech on the BBCNI news last night and as edited as I'm sure it was, he went straight into flag shagger mode, never a great sign.

Quote from: nrico2006 on March 24, 2024, 10:11:18 AMWatched first half an hour of 3 Body Problem and turned it off as it seemed crap and thought it was one of those multiple, universe inside universe shows like Inception or something. Nothing else to watch last night so stuck on the rest and ended up watching 4 of them. Turning out very good.
Binged it all, excellent Sci fi, but I do think it'll be niche enough and not mainstream. 2 more original books in the series and I read an article already that Netflix haven't committed to the trilogy; costs are huge and they're waiting on reviews / reception data coming in.

Quote from: Jim Bob on March 19, 2024, 09:24:09 PMThis pay offer will be accepted and everything will return to normal until next years pay negotiations where teachers will be offered next to nothing and action  short of strike will resume and inspectors will not be allowed in through the door
Hopefully Labour will get in at next GE and try and re-establish decent multi-year deals, but the whole public sector does need modernisation. There has to be big picture planning and not just lurching from shitshow to shitshow. c***ts and all that the Tories are and have been, Covid & the COL Crisis drained the exchequer, Brexit nonsense hasn't helped but there's Political choices to be made after the GE, I hope it's Labour making them.

3 body problem on Netflix. Proper make you think Sci Fi, only 2 episodes in but I'm hooked.

Strong looking Armagh side for Cork. I hope there'll be plenty of changes before throw in, if not our supposed strength in depth might appear to be a bit of a myth.

That's it like Ireland at the Rugby, draw can screw you, even an outlier team in the group stage could hump you - Westmeath could have done us last year.

Could do worse than let Rian have a run as a proper midfielder, doesn't look fit enough atm tho. I don't think Oisin is in the conversation to start. The likes of McGrane & Conaty got a good blooding in D2 but it only starts to get serious now.

Think I'd have Derry above Kerry in the current pecking order. Hope they front up for the Dubs in any league final tho, if they bend the knee again they'll get also get humped in the AI when it really matters imo.

Good to see Mattie Donnelly back, I thought he was finished tbh, hasn't had much luck with injuries.

Ive lost a lot of faith & interest in Armagh this year. Near half way through D1 last season I remember discussing how we should push on and try and win the league. We ended up relegated and then doubled down on the disappointment in the USFC & AI series. This year's league cakewalk just reinforces what a waste its been. Who can tell if any lessons have been learned?
