When he was born slavery had only been abolished 30 years earlier in the US.

Tony Baloney

Amazing to think he was born when Queen Victoria was still alive. Seems strange that he was never knighted when you think the likes of Tom Jones, Mick Jagger (and probably Beckham when he retires) etc. are "Sirs".

Hardy

I had to laugh at the BBC's selection of significant world events in Henry's lifetime, including

1901 - Queen Victoria dies
1977 - Death of Elvis Presley

No mention of 2009 - Mariah Carey snubs Kerry Mike.

I thought the book Angela's Ashes was brilliant and the film absolute rubbish. He came across well as a a decent soul in interviews. His brother is a crap writer who wrote that 'A Monk's Swimming' .. read half a dozen chapters and all he does his drop names of people he met... awful. Anyway Frank McCourt RIP.

One of Ireland's first sextuplets has died.
Nuala Conway gave birth to four girls and two boys on 22 May. One of the girls passed away at a local hospital, Publicist Max Clifford confirmed.
"Our hearts go out to the mum and dad and we hope that the others are going to be fine," he said.
Mrs Conway, from County Tyrone, gave birth to four girls and two boys at the Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital in Belfast.
She and her husband, Austin, live at Dunamore near Cookstown.
The babies were delivered by Caesarean section and were 14 weeks premature. They weighed between 1lb 7oz and 2lb 2oz.
It was the first recorded birth of sextuplets on the island of Ireland, and the first in the UK since 2001.
