GAA Discussion / Re: Marsden's back!
February 21, 2007, 04:16:30 PM
Would this sort of scenario of Marsden, who is by no doubts a classy footballer, ery similiar to Brian Corcoran returning to top flight action or would i be way of the mark.

People have said he mightn't be able to adapt to the pace and intensty of the game at this level only two years after leaving it. Brian left and came back to a different set up and position and look what happened

IMO cant wait to see him back in action, always enjoyed watching him play.

GAA Discussion / Re: Sigerson Cup 07
February 12, 2007, 11:35:27 AM
St Marys are down to play UCD in dublin on wednesday, leaving belfast on tuesday night.

Barry Mc Goldrick is on the St Marys Starting 15 but on wednesday night is to play under lights in Healy Park in the Intermediate Club Match between Ballymacnab (Armagh) and Coleraine (Derry). Rather than Club VS County we have a Club VS University.

In terms of winners of the sigerson cup it will be hard to see past queens.

Lisbellaw,

now heres an interesting one.

I know that lisbellaw hurling club is infact not in lisbellaw (correct me if im wrong) but i heard that the club is called lisbellaw so that it would piss off the unGAA town called Lisbellaw.

Only what i heard.

We need our collar back! I refuse to buy the Armagh post-1999 jersey until my sun protecting mini-hoodie is reinstated!

Are you by any chance one of the 11 and 12 yr old revellers who copied the 'Oisin' style of wearing the collar up? :)

Well, yes opinion based it would be but the best starting 11 would usually start the harder matches and rest in the weaker matches.

Starting 11 or Chelsea.

Cech                                                                Cech
Boulahrouz Terry Carvalho Cole                            Boulahrouz Terry Carvalho
Cole Makelele Lampard Robben                            Cole Makelele Essien Lampard Robben
Drogba Shevchenko.                                         Drogba Shevchenko.

But by this team Joe Cole has been hindered by injuries
Cech is only returning after a spell out
Boulahrouz hasnt returned since injury
Terry due back shortly after injury spell
A Cole is now out injured
Robben has had a share of injuries
Sheva is still making adjustments but wait. Patience is a virtue.

In generalisation injuries have hit Chelsea quite badly this year in relation to Man U, if the tables where turned would Man U have the strength to maintain a top four spot, i think not.

Well at least our injuries havent been like Newcastles, touch wood.

Great`we're getting Terry back and Boulahrouz and what happens? Ashley Cole suspected ligaments

Heres a good quiz question,

What match this year have Chelsea had their strongest starting 11 playing?

Same question for Man U, Arsenal and Pool

Heard That Under 21 Championship Match Cross V Bridge will take place weekend after next 23rd, with semi finals being played 30th weekend and the final to be played 6th weekend.

If everything goes to plan and assuming Ceteris Paribus of course.

Not a convincing performance but a win is a win. And what more can a team do?

Going on the baove why does everyone complain about chelseas play. They play not great football but a win is a win to them. All the Complaints saying their not fancy playing champs etc.
On tonights man u performance these people should be pretty much silenced.

Not getting at united though. a win is a win and last 16 has been achieved

when reading the hurling goalkeepers book, Last Man Standing, i feel it gives a great reflection of the torment tht players have to face whether on or off the field as well as families of players. I personallly think its sickening.

Pearse Ogs V St Johns. Ended in a draw, replay next sunday

Harps V Ballymacnab. Harps won 2-9 1-7. Woeful playing conditions and farcicle refereeing.
