Maybe i am to old school. You should never going running to the police.  Brits out  ;D

Not a matter of old school as far as I'm concerned. Just if someone decides they are going to be a sc**bag/coward they have to accept the consequences. Might make some of the so called "hard men" think twice before they land a dirty slap.

As I said, I've no issue with two boys boxing the head of each other one on one a la ice hockey. That should be red card and that's the end of it.

zero tolerance to violence end off. if someone causes actual bodily harm to another individual then its not up to clubs to sort it out. theres still afew clod hopping teams in tyrone but the majority now want to play football. a few boys squaring up happens but punching someone from behind when there not looking is violence in my book and cowardice on another level.

Exactly. Any of the cases I've ever heard about going down the legal route are rarely where two guys have went toe to toe on the pitch. As far as I'm concerned that's part and parcel of the game.

The court case are generally where one player has been blindsided/ganged up on/struck when defenceless.  In these cases good enough for the instigator if he gets done for it.  A blind side punch is a as cowardly as it gets in my opinion

If the Junior Final isn't for until Start October why did they make these 2 teams play Midweek in that Wind Farm!! surely they could've played this weekend

Was anyone at it?? What was conditions like??
Possibly because there are league games fixed for this weekend

Also because the county board don't give a flying f**k about junior clubs. The fixing of the championships quarter Finals on a Saturday afternoon from 1pm demonstrated that.

Plenty of boys work Saturday but sure as long as everyone was able to pay into the senior games that evening.

Anyone know what the best way to get/keep that red scale that comes on concrete copings and window sills away

Bleach is worth a go to start with, normal stuff you get in the shop, if it's real bad pour it on neat, if it's over a big area mix it up with water and put on with a watering can, leave it sit for a while and power hose off.

If it comes back try a product called mosgo.

How far from the coast are you?

5 gallon drum of hydro chlorite used to clean milking parlors is a good job. Get it from the agristore and use a garden sprayer. Be wared though, you will destroy whatever clothes you're wearing!

Hawthorn's amazing run came to an end with defeat to the Bulldogs on Friday night.Blown away in the 3rd quarter after an even enough 1st half.Who knows how things would've turned out had Isaac Smith kicked the goal against Geelong at the buzzer.I still don't think they had the legs for the run in.

Agreed. Hawks on their day can beat anyone but they weren't as good this year.  Wona lot of close games.. still The best team I have ever seen play and hopefully there is one more year in some of the old guard. The loss of roughhead was massive and hopefully we see him back next year.

As for the flagi reckon the swans are strongest. Geelong midfield is awesome but don't think they have enough up front.

Great win, if you had offered 10 points from first 5 games with 3 of them against the direct rivals for CL and 1 against the current champs then you'd be very happy. Firmino was hurt tonight. Slight groin strain. Although he was a bit at fault for the goal matip has been brilliant. Onwards and upwards.

Especially with an easy 3 at Burnley. ..
Good win especially given llalana and couthinho weren't as good as previous games.  Henderson excellent as were lovren and Matip. Decent run of games coming up now so cue the parked buses and poor performances.

f**king disgrace. Made shit of Rashford and Martial again. Put Smalling up front at the end after taking the lads off after an hour, Memphis replacing Martial ffs.

Mourinho is a pr1ck that should not be at United. If LVG was manager there would be 20 posts hear calling for him to be sacked. And don't anyone give it the "it's only the Europa league" garbage....this is Manchester United. They have the resources to play twice a week and win.

f**king daft. He should be giving Martial and Rashford as much time as possible.  Two serious players.

2016 Finals after first week of finals:

A  Sydney Swans lost to Greater Western Sydney (Sydney Swans play Adelaide Crows on 17 Sept)
B  Geelong Cats beat Hawthorn (Hawthorn plays Western Bulldogs on 16 Sept)

C  West Coast Eagles lost to Western Bulldogs (loser eliminated)
D  Adelaide Crows beat North Melbourne (loser eliminated)

E  Greater Western Sydney plays the winner of Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs on 24 Sept
F  Geelong Cats plays the winner of Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows on 23 Sept

G Grand Final is winner E v winner F on 1 October

The hawks cats and Sydney Derby were great games. Smith had a kick after the siren to win it for the hawks but missed.

Bulldogs looked really good against an out of sorts eagles who were many people's tip for the flag after a great fun of results.

same old story at the back though

I actually thought they were reasonable at the back. Lucas mistake was just one of those things. Him and Matip both brought it out well from the bsck.

Anybody fill in any of the gaps above?

Q-Finals in Junior and Intermediate in Tyrone this weekend should clear the picture up a bit. Both very open and hard to call.

Tattyreagh would be strong favorites in tyrone for jfc with Owen Roes their biggest challenger.

There isn't much noise today out of the the same people who had the knives out for Mairtin O'Mullieor last week.

None of this makes what McKay was up to any less idiotic.

Nobody said it wasn't.

It actually makes it worse. There is clearly enough shenanigans going on that the dup are up to their necks in and McKay had managed to deflect attention away from the real issues.

The problem with this case is so many people have not even got the most basic understanding of tax law. The old adage of "if it seems to good to be true it probably is" applies here.

I read a quote that sum up the situation perfectly - "Not to appeal the case would imply acceptance of a loss of sovereignty"

The famed billions are not due to Ireland under tax law. The EU is acting beyond its powers and will lose this appeal (which I think they know). It's typical bully boy tactics and designed to embarrass Ireland and force changes to our CT regime including a rate reduction. I'm amazed but delighted that it look like FG and FF are standing up to them on this. I'm equally disappointed at the short-sightedness and stupidity of SF, SD's, PBP and others in opposing an appeal. This is a red line issue regarding our sovereignty. We haven't a lot left but setting our tax law is one. We simply cannot concede this.

As I understand it this "loophole" regarding stateless companies has now been closed so no longer applies. The 1% argument is a total red herring.

Spot on. Britain had monetary policy options around interest rates and quantitative easing.  You can argue how successful these are but they are there.  If ROI cannot set tax rates there is very little left in the arsenal not controlled from Europe.
