60% of the time it works everytime
How can it work for all Ireland finals?

Mayo are getting the 40% out of the way and are about to go on a Crossmaglen-esqe run of titles. ...

Things will all change at Spurs and Liverpool (to a lesser degree) when the new stadium arrives. We have already seen it with Erikson earlier this season. Why would they be happy with 80-100k a week at Spurs when City, United and Chelsea can all double or treble their salary. Kane will have his head turned soon enough! Spurs are similar to Arsenal when they first moved into the Emirates in that regard. Top players but earning less than their peers.

A salary cap like the nfl would be a great leveler.  It would force teams to invest in youth. I think the Superbowl has only had one multiple winner over the last decade. Obviously the playoff structure and draft helps as well but it means that no one team dominates because of financial clout.

The UEFA financial fair play regulations are a joke.  Converting debt to equity and sweet heart deals on stadiums means the likes of city can basically ignore them and hoover  up global talent with no comeback.

Michael Owen is one annoying bollox.  How he gets on TV is beyond me. No original analysis and constantly trying to be the nice guy.

In the county boards attempt to take as much cash from us mere gaa mortals , they won't play any league games, until the semi finals are over, even tho they could have played them at noon for the past 2/3 weeks, and we could still have made the games if we wanted. Why the res championship has not been played is beyond belief. Should have been played end of June, clubs are asked to name 12 senior players at the start of the season, is that not enough to allow this to be played. Tara stuff

Do clubs need to wait for the CCC / CB to issue fixtures? Could two club committee's not agree to play a game and ask the CCC / CB that a referee be sent?

I might be wrong but I think matches in the last two rounds have to be played simultaneously

Great result.

And one of the few times I'm delighted to see the bookie win

How the hell did he swing this job after almost ten years of abysmal failings at liverpool?

Ayre actually did a reasonable job at Liverpool in my opinion. Difficult circumstances early in his tenure. He was originally commercial director and did a lot to improve that side of the club in terms of competing with the likes of United and arsenal.  In the last few years as md be has got the stadium redevelopment moving and there is no doubt the club is much stronger now than agency he came in.

You can't fault him for failings on the pitch.

Clinton, just because Trump is an A-hole.

Pretty much sums it up for me. For all Clinton's faults she knows how to play the game.

Trump would be a much more dangerous version of Kim Jong un. A complete maverick who could make a kneejerk decision just because he knows better than all his advisers.

Get the feeling the MU fans never deep down took to Rooney. Great player for them imo, but for me the absolute adulation the MU fans for example had for Cantona, Scholes, Schmeiche, Giggs, Ronaldo (while there)   etc never went Rooney's way.

Liverpool fans were the same with Owen even before he left for Madrid. Great record but never as highly regarded the same way fowler was.

Magpie, out of curiosity would you have liked to see Klopp at old Trafford? I'm a Liverpool fan so clearly biased but even my Manc mates seem to enjoy him.

I tend to agree with you about some of Jose s decisions.  I have always rated him as a thoroughly dislikeable arrogant bollox but he always got results apart from last year at chelsea. he really seemed to crumble when things went wrong.

I think he will get results at United. The Rooney decision was the first step and now some of the younger guys like Rashford will get more game time. They won't be far away come May.

At the risk of talking to myself the grand final pairing now decided. Swans crushed geelong in as good a 1st quarter performance  as you will see. The surprise package opposing them is the Bulldogs who won a classic against the giants by a single kick. Bulldogs have been superb in the knockout stages bit I just think the swans will have to much for them.

Add a slight aside, rumours that the swans want zach tuohy next year.

Great performance.  Only slight blemish is conceding another set piece goal but hey.  Some of the intricate passing was really good. If philippe s passing radar had been on could have have been double figures.

Any only one more match against Burnley this season! !

I think he's referring to old school about going to the police?

Also had seen someone saying about Shane Meehan being the referee for Clonoe vs Coalisland but I seen there on teamtalk that he got hurt in a work accident so looks like a new ref will be in!

So was I. If you hit someone a punch from behind in the street you can expect the police to get involved.  Just because your on a pitch doesn't make it any less cowardly

Police will only get involved if you tell them or they see it.  Many a punch i got out on the street with no police involvement. Anyway, Why you on about a punch from behind here all the time?  You know something we don't?

No just using that as an example of a scenario where I would have no sympathy for him,  not referring to a specific incident.  Its just something that really annoys me.  As blackball  said play hard but just don't act the tr**p on the pitch.
