Original fixture plan had Senior/intermediate Semi-finals on Friday night & Saturday.

Ardboe have no doubt refused to play in Omagh and the CCC have bent over for them
A Friday night match would have been giving Killyclogher or Coalisland only q 5 day turnaround.

Pomeroy only got 4 days before last years semi final.
Same last year for Trillick. The CCC would have been aware of the 5 day turnaround at the time of releasing the fixtures plan. So why did it all change?

Was there not talk the Club Championship Draw was put back to the first week in June, to give the new Sponsor LCC a standalone launch night for publicity etc rather than lump it in with Tyrone team announcement.
Think that makes sense to be fair.

Did Lee Brennan do much scoring over the first two games? I see Bradley scored 0-02 on Sunday.
nearly

Brennan scored 6 the first day out and not sure what he scored on Sunday, considering Trillick scored around 2-20 id say he was to the fore of most of it!
Does anyone know? Surely he's on his way set a record as the all time highest scorer in Tyrone league football if he continues his scoring featsl!! I doubt there's accurate records of this from years and years ago but it would be an interesting stat, I'd love to know what Peter the Great scored in total!!

Think Lee scored 1:10 on Sunday

Seaney is an Irvinestown man.
Like most successfull Trillick senior championship managers he is from Fermanagh.

2010 is quite a while ago.

What would senior clubs have spent on management in the last 5 years ? North of a million ?

Does Seaney not live in Trillick? Just asking, I dont know

Seaney lives in Trillick. Spent a few years coaching underage in Trillick before he became senior manager. Kids play for Trillick. Still a proud Fermanagh man though.

I see thee CCC have released the reserve championship fixtures.  At least its not November this year, what way does player exclusion work for that saying its played before the senior championship?

Heard at the weekend there that anyone who did not play in your senior team or came on as on sub in you last championship game last year is eligible to play...

So by that logic any of the senior teams that had a decent championship run last year will be weakened because they would have used more of a panel of players.  I like that the CCC are finding a place for the reserve championship as long as it continues to be before the senior championship clubs will accept the rulings on eligibility.  It doesn't bode well for the fella that maybe looking to wind down maybe played senior championship but cant really commit this year and wanted a run out with the reserves that they miss a championship season. You could lose men like that from football all together

Surely it doesn't matter how far your senior team got last year... the rule applies to your last championship game and not the whole campaign

I never see any club games any more as live in Dublin but from the games played so far are there some teams moving away from the overly defensive systems and lining out more traditionally?

I think you are buying in to the southern media fella, some big teams might employ that against certain teams they need to stop and certainly some teams will still play with a sweeper if needs be but I don't think it has ever been a widespread thing in tyrone. Games I have seen have all been enjoyable.

Are you deluded?  We played Pomeroy, Killyclogher and Strabane to date and everyone one of them used very defensive systems.  Its leaving games hard to watch.

Deluded in what sense? How do you know what games I have watched. Pomeroy are only up of course they were gonna try go defensive, strabane had just been destroyed the week before so had to go defensive I don't know about killyclogher. I always found your games hard to watch to be fair, they are generally more about brute strength and defence than football

Your deluded to the fact that you think that the defensive systems used in Tyrone football is a myth created by the southern media. Watch Tyrone play for start, they play defensive system. A lot of clubs play it to because they think it will get them success but all it will do is create a poor spectacle with the stronger team still winning. You also contradict yourself by first stating that some big teams use it when they need to stop certain teams but when I mentioned teams that we played which are not classified as the big teams that play defensive you say that they have to use it. No team has to play that way. Also respect people's opinions with out giving a remark trying to get a response. It shows your level of intelligence. You just go and watch this entertaining football. It would suit you better if you could even tells us what or where these games are and maybe we could have an intelligent discussion on these.

Firstly I didn't say they were a myth, maybe read my comments. I said sweepers were being used but not all the time. Secondly, I have not seen a match where a club set up the way tyrone currently do unless they are in complete desperation. I would imagine as they don't have the players to break like that.

Fair enough, what I meant to say was some teams use it to stop big teams, I may have got that the wrong way around.

Fella if you go look at the Division 1 league table after 3 games, Carrickmore have scored less than anyone in the entire league in fact its 4th lowest in the entire county so I am not surprised you are having a cry. Maybe go see another club this weekend

Do I sense I touch of envy in your posts? And there is you trying to prove your intelligence by using stats. As the famous quote goes "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics"

Envy of what? Being from Caaaarmen hi boy lol. Its football lad, I have a life outside it, I go to games some are good some are bad its not all doom and gloom (unless you are a carrickmore fan) by the looks of it.

Show me the lie in what I said? I provided figures and provided you with empathy for your current plight.

You used the Donald Trump school of retorts!

when you're a trillick reserve it doesn't take much to entertain
ah here.... leave our Reserves out of this :)

The payment of managers is against what the gaa stands for but it was impossible to prevent and is going to continue. Best you can do is inform clubs trying  to sell tickets or fund raise that you won't be paying for their manager. Are there any clubs left in Tyrone who have never paid an outsider to manage their club?

Trillick I know have never had (nor paid) an outside manager. I'm sure there are other clubs also.

Is Nigel Seaney not from Irvinstown??

I thought the same

Originally from Irvinestown but living in Trillick for last 15 years or so. Had a few years managing Trillick under 8s and 10s before taking the senior job... so he's Trillick now :)

Seaney is a Trillick man. Originally from Irvinestown and played his football with them & Fermanagh, but has lived in trillick for years. Both he and his wife have been coaching underage in the club for a good few years before he took the senior job.
