Paul Mersons 2nd book - How not to be a professional footballer is very good, pretty funny too.  goes into detail on all the messing about he got up too.

How much would it cost to submit plans for a field in the north and how much is the whole process likely to cost?

An outline application is £412
A full application is £823

£75 for building control application if your house is under 250 sq meters

I thought the ref was very inconsistent throughout the game in terms of his punishment of too many steps. Ignored some whilst penalising players with men hanging out of him.

Consistency isn't one of his strengths: blowing up Mickey Murphy for minor encroachment onto the pitch for a sideline, yet letting a Kildare kick-out be collected without penalty within the semi-circle (stone cold free in).

Matthew Donnelly played well indeed, seems to be settling very assuredly into the grade.

I'm not sure thats a free anymore, seen it happen quite a lot recently without punishment.  Might've been done away with when the kickouts where changed

McKenna shouldn't be played in the full back line - very short on pace for that job.

Mc Kenna short on pace, don't know what games you have been attending DuffleKing.I firmly believe this will be Mc Kennas break through year... excellent defender & he can take a score

I dont know if its a lack of pace or not, but I dont think corner back is the best place for him.  I think he will develop into a great player, but I think that will be in the half back line not the full back one

banana, fat free strawberry yogurt, orange juice, couple of scoops of porridge oats and some milk makes a handy one for breakfast.  I got a hand blender too, 2 seconds under the tap and it clean.

Free taking from distance is really a thing from the past. The St Marys keeper took at least 5 or 6 free kicks against Armagh on Sunday. Some of them were no more than about 30 yards out. What the hell are forwards doing in training when they can't kick a point from 30 or 40 yards?!

It's time this was done away with. It eats up too much time. I'd say 5+ minutes was wasted with the keeper coming up to take frees. If a forward took that much time, the ball would have been thrown up.

He missed most of them too

On the Armagh squad - what club does Niall Geoghan play for? Good to see Swift back and good to see the 2 maghery boys get a chance. Still no sign of Stefan Forker?

Niall plays for Middletown

Stephen Kernan was soloing towards goal yesterday and did a sort Ronaldo feet shuffle to get past the last man. That was the first time I saw anything like that on the gaelic field. Unfortunately he ran out of space to get a shot in, but great skill from Stephen.

I hope you're not talking about the time he went on a solo ran, and then couldnt make up his mind what to do with the last man, went one way, fell the other, and was blew for overcarrying??!

Think that might be what he's talking about!  It was a nice bit of skill to go round the man but then he just fell over himself
