He won't have faced anything like he will against kilcoo. They'll be like flies round shite. They won't allow him to dictate things. Same for Glass.

He will have faced better teams than Kilcoo throughout the years.  There will be nothing new in this game that he hasnt faced before.

I donít think the comment was in reference to the quality of footballer heíd be up against.

The amount of Irish folk reading, listening to siding with the right wing these days is very surprising. They really are making hay (someone on here predicted as much at the start of the pandemic)
Canít blame them with all the other gobshites supporting lockdowns

I donít know of anyone who supports lockdowns, Iím for taking the vaccine and moving on, but if this new mutation causes more deaths, then some restrictions need to be looked at, more community testing followed by isolating if infected
The headcases dont want restrictions or the vaccines when it's clear that we need one or the other. My preference would be that people vax up and we don't need to go in and out of restrictions as they leave terrible uncertainty for business owners and employees, especially around hospitality and retail. I had to use my Covid app last Saturday when out for lunch and not once did I feel like I was being asked for my papers in Nazi Germany.
Felt that way to me tbh. Disgusting.

Then youíre a clown.

One man's clown is another man's deep thinker.

New variant now in Europe https://www.telegraph.co.uk/global-health/science-and-disease/covid-new-south-african-variant-strain-lockdown-restrictions/
ConvenientÖ

For who?

Them ;D

Sceptical that there is another variant? If you are sceptical why are you sceptical? It was always going to happen was it not?

The idea that this is ďconvenientĒ is bonkers, as if governments around the world want to lock down economies, education, social lives etc  ::)

Back to the future

In great Down GAA fashion, the begrudging has started already. I would like to wish the best of luck to James, Aidan, and their team. Thankfully this torment is over and we can look forward to 2022.

Itís not a criticism, just an observation

Aye

Itís a good appointment all things considered. Hopefully he repeats his first year from his first reign!

That was a massive result for Man Uniteds season. Knock out champions league where anything can happen and things could look a whole lot differently in February. Importantly it means they also avoid Thursday night Europa League football.

Would they have got the same result under Solakjaer? The way things had slid Iím not sure they would have which is a part indictment on the players too. I donít think anyone believes Carrick is the answer long term but if they get a decent result against Chelsea on Sunday he could well be in the managers chair for a bit longer yet.

This game had 0-0 written all over it till the VR keeper decided to give the ball to a lad being marked...

Lucky is all I'm saying.

Agree with this, DDG kept them in it and it would have been a different story had Utd not been gifted a flukey goal.

Some turnaround from McIlroy today, from 9 back to leading in 3 hours.

the problem with the north is the people have some high opinion of themselves ::)

wind it up, offer it to kim jong and be done with it

will take centuries to fix  ;)

I am no more Irish than you. But I am no less Irish than you. You are a sad, pathetic, craven free state Quisling.

Or more accurately, a WUM (see golf thread for reference).

The run of games after the international break and the 6-1 loss to Spurs last year looked horrendous too and they went and beat PSG and Leipzig (5-1 in that game), drew with City and put together a pretty excellent run of results that had them 1st by January.

However the team (with the exception of CDM) is now far better and they still struggle against any defensive team, so I think a lot of fans are leaning towards Ole out. The flipside is itís usually individual mistakes and poor execution of the managerís tactics that is costing them - but they still look slow and out of ideas against the ďlow blocksĒ if they donít get an early goal and force them out.
