If Casement was still available (oh the days) would anyone even give it a second thought on venue, distance, parking and so on?

Corrigan is the second pitch, with the best facilities plus with coverage from city council for H&S. it's a no brainier.

I like Ballycastle as a venue, for parking, stewardship and so on but if you ask the players, I'd say they'd opt to be  playing at Corrigan.

Quote from: J70 on October 04, 2023, 05:47:55 PMFFS. Does anyone seriously think that Klopp seriously thinks there's a snowball's chance in hell of getting a replay? ;D

At most, this is all mind games shit that he hopes will benefit him in future.

Apparently some people actually do!

Cause as the ref's who's getting abuse from the manager will really go out of his way to 'help' him  ;D

And while you're at it scrap the red cards too  ;D

Quote from: J70 on October 04, 2023, 12:49:36 PMThere won't be a replay, nor should there, as where would it end if you opened up THAT Pandora's box? It's part of sport that sometimes teams get fucked. But they need to sort it out so such blatant, farcical, system failures don't happen again and at least limit the damage. Imagine that happening in a CL or WC Final? Or last day of the season and someone getting relegated or losing a title race?

It happened in a World cup final twice!! England Germany 66 and another English referee didn't send a player off after receiving two yellow cards ffs!!

Mistakes happen all the time, move on and get on with it! Moany cnuts  ;D

Take off your referee specs! ;D

Peter schmeichel's save against Spurs is the best mistake  ;D

I think it was Peter or VS

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on October 03, 2023, 11:28:46 PMIt's something I said I'd try this year and didn't bother, but will certainly give it a go next. Body camera, sure what harm could it do? Would certainly produce some red faces at a CCC meeting and clear up any issues with regards to players actions, and ref's  ;D

Give me a shout, our crowd sell them, I'll do a swap for a few hearing aids!

Yeah be interested in trialling it, your hearing should be grand lol

Quote from: GAABoardMod5 on October 03, 2023, 09:24:54 PMIt will end up like the NFL refs in America...they will announce the onfield decision and then announce the result of the VAR enquiry.

Or else the VAR need to state the decision...goal or offside, red card or yellow card, etc...as the phrase "check complete" does not convey any message.

You'd need people with speaking skills though...

Like actors?

I'm going to say weather would be one reasoning, also 4 different sets of fans at Corrigan with changing rooms and so on it might not be able to do that. That said it has held double headers before..

If its for revenue well so be it, its not like we have a pile of cash and if looking new facilities and the like it needs to be paid for

Again I've no inside track on these things.

I'm old school and lucky enough to play a minor final before our seniors, though both results that day didn't go as plan it was a great occasion at Casement so I would like a double header too

So based on the 'on merit' comment

What would be your criteria on picking referee's?

Yeah I'm not arguing here, I've said that equally both places should have been given the same, I'm not up to date with how that funding was sorted or earmarked for.

Was Dunsilly going on at the same time?

Sure with the change of board soon and knowing a few on here are itching to put their nominations in place for those positions, we'll be grand
