Haretz, the Israeli paper reports that Israeli ministers were the ones derailing the peace talks (to nobody's great surprise (well, almost nobody, I suppose)).

Tons of natural resources, strategically placed between US, Russia and access to waterways opening up as the arctic melts.  As the earth warms, it's going to be a lot of arable land too.

Ah sure it's only a suspicion, I could be wrong. It's not like I think I've uncovered some vast conspiracy everyone else has missed out on or anything like that.

After the recent posts, it's fairly obvious Seamus is someone's alter ego with too much time on their hands. They've overegged their playing stupid.

I'm actually disappointed.

I've suspected this for a while. A certain poster with lots of political views, no gaa posts and a tendency to get banned and come back with a different user name springs to mind.

What will Republicans who voted for Trump make of Musk running the country to line his own pockets?

Most either won't know, because Fox won't make a big deal of it, or they'll say something about Hillary and taxes.

Bernie Sanders (amongst others) has taken to referring to President Musk, so if DT is as petty as he seems to be, he might well jettison Musk before long.

That's a good question, that I don't know the answer to.  However, I wouldn't think there would be any legal obstacle for a prisoner to be executed on federal property, even if the state itself doesn't have the death penalty.  The federal government owns property in many (probably all) states, and the jurisdiction on those properties would be federal.

You see this type of mish-mash of rules quite a bit here.  For example, the speed limit in New York State is 55mph (on highways).  But if the highway is a federal highway, the speed limit may be--and sometimes is--higher.   

Will they seek the death penalty for this Luigi fella who shot the health ceo? See they're bringing terrorism charges.

Make a martyr of him if they do..

It's complicated. If he's just tried by New York State, it doesn't have the death penalty, so in that case, no. 

But you can get the death penalty even in a state that doesn't have it if you face federal charges (i.e., if the US Government brings the charge against you). 

And he is now facing federal charges (as best I can make out, just because he crossed state lines in transit to kill his victim.  Seems like a stretch to me).

I don't think 9/11 actually happened.  The towers are still there if you just think for yourself.

Hopefully this is the start of some more intensive international pressure.
