The League is over and resting players and keeping injuries to a minimum for the Champions League (and the Scottish Cup) is the priority.

Doing this will see hap-hazard results in this period. It's a balancing act.

We will judge Rogers on on how he gets on in these competitions and if there was a plan.

Are they mad?

Not really, they paid £85m for him. Also purchases based on his sale will be greatly inflated.

Also does he want to go to Al-Hilal? It's his decision also. Contracts work both ways.

Quote from: trileacman on January 13, 2025, 10:13:48 PMMason Greenwood tearing it up in France. 11 goals and 3 assists to lead the golden boot race in ligue 1.

Don't think there was ever any doubt about the lads ability but imo United right to get rid as he's a sc**bag.

United are trying to get rid of plebs, not bring them back....

General discussion / Re: Michael D Higgins at it again

Michael D has stayed to long in the job. 84 in a couple of weeks.

One term was enough. And he lied about the second term. He let himself down there.

He has had views that I have agreed with and disagreed with over the years.

But at least he has had views and the passion to say his 2 pence worth on them.

I'm not fond of really old people setting the agenda for the next generation or sh1t stirring.

They've had their time. Let the next crowd have their turn.

Quote from: Tony Baloney on January 05, 2025, 06:29:01 PMFair result. Good fight from United. Slot should have given Trent the hook long before that second United goal.

Yeah he usually takes Trent off when closing out a game. The Madrid saga has clearly got into both Trent and Slots heads.

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on January 05, 2025, 12:29:27 AMI'm 53, I've seen the worst of teams and the best of teams..

Every dog has its day, the traditional teams always have their run, that's how it works in b most team sports.

One thing in life is true, always be nice to the people on the way up, as ya might need them on the way down, but enjoy the moment

Ah, in fairness you keep the Utd flag flying here, it's not easy and it is admiral that you do. Many would have given up the ghost a long time ago.

Amyway, this is a Arsenal thread - lets leave it to that topic.

Arsenal have only 7 draws this season - The Invincible's had 12 draws in a season and still won the League. There is nothing to panic about.  ;D

You have to remember what ever we do, there will be some one left out. You sometimes have to be strong and get on with it. Put on the blinkers and get past it.

Like in the trending in Ireland yesterday according to X Rotherham was way up.
Now are telling me that's genuine compared to news like the cold snap.

There's potentially trouble brewing at the home place too with whispers of a hotel being switched to IPAS accommodation.
All the scum will be down soon showing 'support'.

It's getting harder to distinguish the wood from the trees in regarding to legitimate protestors. You can't paint everybody with the same brush. Unfortunately the Arseholes will get the headlines.
