You know the GAA is in decline when the most exciting part of the Leinster final is a Streaker : a bad game but if you prefer looking at a fat naked man with too much cider on board then you need an EGM with yourself .
You know the GAA is in decline when Sky forces people to go to the Pub to see a match : Sky force no one to the pub
You know the GAA is in decline when Referees become to afraid make big decisions ; ???

You've more than enough Bunker, lol. You must have been pinting!!

Actually I thing the card thing is clear enough. Refs. are butchering it a bit though.
Referees are not afraid to make big decisions, but sometimes make too many poor big decisions.
Correct about kids being charged.
If Tyrone don t want to do interviews let them belt away. They do their talking on the pitch. Sir Alex refused to speak to the BBC was it? That was a good thing imo.
f**k the pundits and anybody that pays any heed to them.
Sky? Tough for elderly etc. but most people can always go to a game. Attendances are rubbish. So at least somebody is showing stuff that is minority interest. With attendances being so low at games maybe there are too many televised games? A trip to pub to watch in on Sky still probably cheaper than bringing family to a game as well?
The no kicking thing is a game in evolution. I know a lot of people have given up on the game (even in a relatively successful county like Mayo) but what do you do? Liam Sammon's Galway played lovely pure football but the Galways didn t come out in their droves to watch because they knew it was no longer a game that could beat the more 'practical' teams.

Bad form alright.

You know the GAA is in decline when you get games where no one kicks the ball.

Skills in football in decline, not the GAA itself.

You know the GAA is in decline when pundits determine rule changes.

The black card is not working

You know the GAA is in decline when pundits with personal issues with Managers gets a outlet to abuse that power

Not really a GAA problem.

You know the GAA is in decline when Players and Managers stop giving interviews

Who cares. They're all the same - respect the other team bla bla

You know the GAA is in decline when ask amateur players to go out 3 weeks in a row to fulfill fixtures

We're doomed so. Doomed I tell ya. Think of the poor junior players in North Mayo who hardly ever get a break from playing in different competitions

You know the GAA is in decline when you don't have a clue between a Black, Red or Yellow Card

Black card has caused confusion.

You know the GAA is in decline when the most exciting part of the Leinster final is a Streaker

Only saw amateur footage of this. Was listening to Connacht final instead

You know the GAA is in decline when Sky forces people to go to the Pub to see a match

It's bad form alright. At least the pundits are good.

You know the GAA is in decline when Referees become to afraid make big decisions

It must be in decline since God was a gasúr so

You know the GAA is in decline when Red Card suspensions don't stand up because of Solicitors

Agree. Amateur sport shouldn't need the law to sort out stuff.

When you fall asleep watching provincial finals.

You know the GAA is in decline when victorious supporters of certain counties goad / taunt / tease the opposition supporters with soccer chants.

Three times on Sunday the referee in Castlebar stopped the goalie from quickly kicking out the ball because there was a second ball on the field right beside the end line. Each time there was an umpire within a few metres of the ball, but they just stood there looking at the ball. The mind boggles

This!

When life long GAA supporters like me, switch over to watch the Golf because I can't take another second of the complete and utter drivel served up by Donegal and Tyrone and by Galway and Roscommon the prior week.

and

When GAA managers say they don't care about entertaining the fans...

Time for the GAA to take a hard look at what is going on, I have many friends who have stopped going to matches and watching matches because of the defensive blanket.  I would suggest the following rule changes BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

- TWO REFS FOR ALL INTER-COUNTY GAMES
THE MARK FOR SICKOUTS (which is coming in)
A MINIMUM OF FOUR PLAYERS IN THE OPPONENTS HALF OF THE FIELD AT ALL TIMES
A TIME CLOCK - WITH AUTOMATIC STOPPING OF THE CLOCK FOR THE LAST 3 MINUTES WHEN THE BALL IS NOT IN PLAY (INCLUDING FREE KICKS)
FOOTPASS REQUIRED AFTER 3 HANDPASSES.

I have never been as disillusioned on the state of the game as I am at the current time, it is becoming unwatchable and if things don't change people will vote by leaving plenty of empty seats at matches.

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

The mark will more or less spell the end of long kickouts.
