WooHoo! I feel so accepted

Now,... lets talk about cakes.... Since I bought you a beer and the favour hasn't been returned yet (!) a Guinness flavoured one would be nice :)

A few questions;

1.   How do you know everyone's birthday Ziggy?
2.   How come you didn't wish me happy birthday yesterday also?
3.   As farrandeelin is getting a pressie, do I get one aswell?
4.     As farrandeelin appears to be moving in on one of the birds from the board, should you not be his sworn enemy as you like to do all the sleazing around here?

General discussion / Re: Sking Holiday
July 24, 2009, 03:18:53 PM
Guys, have any of you looked at ski holidays for next season yet?
One of our group thats went the last few years has started to get the ball rolling this week and is suggesting we go on 26th December.
Have any of you went around Christmas? Would yous think it's a good time to go?

Rois, did you take that cheap week at £175?
We payed £600+ for a week in livigno last feb, in November but could have got it for around £400 2 weeks before we went.
Have any of you ever waited for a late deal? I would think about it, but wouldn't want to end up in a shithole, plus there could be 12 of us so it might be hard.

Apre ski definitely sounds good in Chamonix, whats the ski like?

GAA Discussion / Re: Strange training methods
July 24, 2009, 01:40:59 PM
Last year, our juvenile's manager decided at the end of training to go get a hammer & nail from his van. He put the nail into the fence at the side of the pitch so that it was sticking out a few inches. He then made each of the lads 'punch' the nail with their open palms. After each of them had done it, he made them take off their gloves and do it again with their bare hands.

At the end he said "Now, if you can slap that nail without gloves, you'll be fit to catch a ball without any gloves" or something along those lines.

A strange one, but it gave the rest of us a laugh

Guys that website seems to be something someone is doing for a school project. It's not a bad idea, but the county board want to control the videoing of club football. They wouldn't be too keen on it going out live on the net if a free for all were to break out on field.

North, surely you should give something to the players in your gallery for use of their image rights, if so, you can pm me for the address to send the cheque to  :P

The millies are ready for Clones ;)

Antrim manager Liam Bradley has named the same team that beat Cavan in the semi-final for Sunday's Ulster decider against All Ireland champions Tyrone in Clones.
Long serving goalkeeper Sean McGreevy, who missed the semi-final through injury has recovered but Bradley has decided to maintain the status quo and go with Creggan's Peter Graham who deputised for McGreevy against Cavan.

QuoteTheir own website is nothing to write home about. Basic enough site

and he hasn't designed it himself, its just a joomla template poorly customised, but fair play to him if he got E200 for that site in his portfolio

General discussion / Re: Telephone wiring help
July 10, 2009, 10:57:00 AM
Ok, is her original phone still working and you're trying to connect up the second socket?

For voice it'll usually be the BLUE &BLUE/White pair that's used to connect it up.

By "connect another phone" do you mean a new phone line with new number different to the one already in the house?

QuoteSpeaking of which, is the Falls area bedecked in Antrim flags yet?
there is a bit of saffron&white about the casement area

Any idea how ticket sales are going for this? Will it be a sellout?
Only terrace tickets left on ticketmaster and the club have sold their allocation
I went up to casement last night to get some but the feckers selling them had left, so I have to go back tonight

QuoteIn truth in the rumours that the Tyrone Minors are starting this game?
Why come out with comments like that ziggy?
I'd nearly wish for Antrim to beat us, just so the lads on the board can throw that back at you!

They're impressive alright. No sure you can claim they're 'the best' after the county ground though

So Coalisland's pitch is currently closed for a year, never heard that.

What are the chances of Newtown appealing and having the decision overturned?
Did coalisland appeal the decision against them?
Were there any player suspensions?

When was this decided Longball?

I'm thinking its been a while since a club have had a pitch closed for such a long time. Who were the last?
