Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on September 22, 2024, 08:20:59 PMYou are confusing getting a penalty for a black card offence that denies a goal scoring opportunity even if not in the box. It's still a black card.
What I'm trying to say.... black not red

Yeah i was wrong. It is a black not a red. Although in this case it was neither lol
I didn't think it was a black card offence tonight.

Still think Errigal second goal was dodgy.

clarshack

Clonoe no.11 if he scores that easy free before the one he did get at the end then Errigal are eliminated.

Quote from: skeog on September 22, 2024, 06:14:10 PMLough have two of the best coaches in the country in the backroom team.Hardly call that inexperience.Just seemed to freeze on the home straight.
You said it ...coaches. Their management of substitution choices and game management when 4 up was horrendous. They brought two corner forwards on (one of them 41 that lasted a minute) to see out a game. Madness.

Also... two of the best coaches in the country? Catch a grip

Due to errigal's tradition they will be wimpering after that game, hopefully the priest will tell them they are good enough players next time out.

Quote from: Truthsayer on September 22, 2024, 08:09:21 PMGood job Damian O'Hagan is there to identify players for Paddy Hunter...

Would love to know how much these men get paid for the coverage, half of them don't know if its pumped or stuffed.

Like a breath of fresh air when you're listening to the likes of Damian O'Hagan, Clithro or Lorcan Martin who actually know half the boys on the field of play or can actually read a game.

Errigal Ciaran's weakness badly exposed once again, very suprised it took Clonoe that length of time to put McClure into full forward after that Pomeroy game in the first round.

Defending the high ball will have to be on the training cards in Dunmoyle for the next few days I doubt

Jerome

THe Mark Bradley v Ruairi Canavan debates are rife over the weekend.

Quote from: Ballygawleyftw on September 22, 2024, 08:46:25 PMRecap from the weekend
Gary gormley getting games at intermediate and senior level is baffling ! Cost Aghyaran a semi final spot with some poor decisions at the end. Himself and the Moortown manager must've  had a few quid on..
Also fully agree thank god for Damian oHagan on commentary ... Paddy Hunter either can't see or doesn't know a single player in the Tyrone club championship
Greencastle will demolish the Moy. The Moy have 4/5 duds playing and Conroy their only man
Loughmacrory got what they deserved after causing the melee, turning into serial bottlers Loughmacrory are.

Have to feel like Clonoe have missed the boat. Don't think the Canavans can play that badly two weeks on the trot.

A few replays a good outcome to avoid watching Junior scrap next weekend

How many free kicks did Gormley give?

Don't like to criticise as they provide a great service generally and access to many more games that you wouldn't otherwise get to, but it is a bit annoying when the main commentator doesn't know many of the names and obviously isn't up to date with club football. I suppose when you're paying the amount you pay for the stream (ahem) then you should expect a certain level of service or knowledge from those doing the talking.

The commentators don't seem to get the replays of points/goals/fouls either which I don't think helps them. Even switches before the game they don't know who is or isn't on. Its probably not too difficult to work out really. At the start of the 2nd half yesterday Seamy McCallan said the Bells from Ardboe need to chip in with a few scores and one of them didn't even start.

Quote from: Truthsayer on September 22, 2024, 07:38:27 PMI would have expected a black card for dragging the opponent down. Foul on a scoring opportunity is soccer?

The new rule is a goal scoring opportunity is a red card i thought
I didn't know that... but as we're copying rules from every sport.. 🤷

It definitely was a rule in championship. Tyrone conceded a penalty last year because of it with david gough
You're remembering it wrong.

It was a black card. Found the clip.

The rule apparently is a black card and a penalty not a red card.

Only applies at inter-county. Rule 5.41 Football Rules
