I would have expected a black card for dragging the opponent down. Foul on a scoring opportunity is soccer?

Duine Inteacht Eile

I wouldn't say it was a nailed on deliberate pull down. Maybe a yellow but ref probably got it right.

clarshack

The Rahillys have got stuck into Errigal and are playing well.

Both players ended on the ground. Could either say it was a pull down or a trip both of which is a black card but i thought denying a goal scoring opportunity was a red card

It definitely was a rule in championship. Tyrone conceded a penalty last year because of it with david gough

It was a black card. Found the clip.

The rule apparently is a black card and a penalty not a red card.

Duine Inteacht Eile

You are confusing getting a penalty for a black card offence that denies a goal scoring opportunity even if not in the box. It's still a black card.
