Kileeshil v Strabane
Aghaloo v Glenelly

Errigal Ciaran v Clonoe

My 2 cents on the upcoming games this weekend.

Game of the weekend will be the Errigal v Clonoe game.
Expecting to see Clonoe try and drop that high ball in all game, Errigal look weak anytime they're exposed to it and Clonoe clearly have the men to utilise for it in the McClure's, McNulty, Skeet or even Ryan Morrow.

Could see the KC game going to another draw, was nothing between the sides the first game.

Killeeshil should have far too much for Strabane, Micheal O'Neill and young Hoy shooting the lights out and that lad Doyle coming in off the bench.. Any word if Rory Gumley is back playing for strabane ?

Aghaloos fire power should be enough to see them past Glenelly. McElroy Donnelly and Mcglone would probably beat glenelly by themselves if someone kicked the ball out to them.

Our lads will have no problem getting past Clonoe. I was up watching training and chatting to a few ones involved and we will have the high ball issue resolved by all accounts.
Hopefully another great weekend of championship football

Lol. Probably should have been worked on before championship considering that if we beat Pomeroy we'd play Coalisland or Clonoe, both of which got joy out of the long ball against us in the league and in previous years

Have errigal considered dropping young Mccarton back into the full back line ? Solid defender and offers very little going foward !

Canavans both quiet the last day rarely do they play bad twice. However I can't see them getting past the winners of the carrickmore v killyclogher game. Dungannon v carrickmore final.

Ruairi Canavan seems to be the player that makes Errigal tick. Hit at least 3 or 4 wides in the 1st half vs Clonoe. Stopping the ball in to Darragh just as important as having the right man on him. The Rahilly's to launch a few Gary Owen's into the likes of McClure & McNulty. Paddy Hunter will be loving life.

Who was it you were speaking to involved with Errigal? Was it a McBride by any chance? :o

Clonoe's championship pedigree is not to taken lightly, these boys have grown up watching very successful clonoe teams aswell as men on this team with oneill cup medals. For clonoe to have any chance they need young coney to have a stomer he's a real live wire if he gets his head right

Jerome

I believe Ben McDonald will be playing full back for Errigal in the replay.

He hasn't got it in his locker to do the job required of him in my opinion

Carrickmore v Killyclogher DRAW
Loughmacrory v Dungannon DRAW
Ardboe v Trillick
Errigal Ciaran v Clonoe

Can see ardboe causing a shock, trillick haven't been scoring well this year.

More draws! Love to see it, counting the money already in Garvaghey 🤑🤑

Trillick will be fine, they'll buy plenty of handy frees and the free kick merchant will slot them over to boost his numbers. Think Brennan has missed more penalties than frees in the championship this past few years

God was I wrong! Trillick only got one scoreable free the whole game and they missed it  :o
I'm surprised too because I thought Basketball was a non-contact sport and they would've got more.
Pretty sure I seen Matthew Donnelly break out his best LeBron impression before sticking the ball in the onion bag - Can't blame the ref for it though or I'll be done for bullying  :'(

From talking to ones that went they didn't notice the double bounce either. Benefits of having a replay available eh?

Let's get the the talk back to football!!!

Predictions for the rest of the year.

Junior winners- Killeeshil

Intermediate winners- Moy

Senior Winners- Trillick

Feel Killeeshil have enough fire power to get the job done in junior. Oneill, Hoy, Donnelly, all been impressive with the likes of Doyle and Donaghy coming of the bench. Expect a showdown between them and aghaloo with the "nearly team" of junior football falling short once again.

Feel the Moy are starting to peak at the right time, Conroy is in top form and if he can stay fit he may be the difference in what looks a tightly contested intermediate championship.

This may be the year a team goes back to back in Tyrone. Trillick have been coasting in 2nd or 3rd gear and feel they will start to up it for the semi. Dungannon have rode their luck but would not discount them, how bad is Donaghys injury? Expect Errigal to scrape to a final due to a few controversial decisions going their way. Killyclogher have shown heart in coming back twice but would question a few managerial decisions (Nathan Donnelly starting) Carrickmore must be the most overrated team in the county (enough said). Feel that was clonoe's  chance and they just missed out, unfortunate.

Hearing rumours that donaghy is out for the season, don't know how much of a problem that is thought! Young Mathew Quinn came on the last day and caused all sorts of problems for the lough

Quote from: EastTyroneTickler on September 25, 2024, 11:17:58 AMCan the Ref abuse stop please... Will these Junior games be tight? Heard Strabane Athletic have changed their weekend game to accommodate the GAA players, fair play to them. Should be easy wins for Killeshil and Aghaloo although Aghaloo have a tradition of bottling these types of games. Their game against Brocagh will do them no favours. Killeshil looked impressive against a clueless Drumquin side, Luke Donnelly impressed from wing forward, Michael Oneill was a constant threat and the 2 big midfielders looked a handful. Expect them to hammer a Strabane side who are more interested in Sunday League soccer, drinking pints watching the Liverpool game and doing a £5 Accum on the Saturday Premier league matches...
The same clueless Drumquin topped them all...

Seen Drumquin a few times this year, very impressive against Aghaloo in the league but didn't show for whatever reason in the championship.

Agree lets keep it football related and not about the terrible state of our Refereeing

Junior winners- Aghaloo Too much fire power for other teams to deal with (if they can deal with being the favorites tag)

Intermediate winners- Moortown Look strong front to back and will do the best of teams that make the step up to D1 next year

Senior Winners- Carrickmore I think people have wrote them off and they are on the hard side of the draw but so far they have looked every bit as good as the others left in the championship, just have a notion its there time again

Hopefully we have some good games and we are talking more about the football than Ref's bad calls over next few weeks

The weather could play the factor this evening if it keeps up as is, I think Carrickmore will walk away tonight the happier side.

Massive game indeed, can see it going the distance again. Have any players from these 2 stood out to make their way into the Tyrone panel under MoR?
