QuotePints you have to "read it" but it's well worth watching.
Yeah, I'll try, it looks good.  I tried with Downfall too and give up half way in through though.

Did anyone watch The Garage starring Pat Short over the holidays?  Failry light-hearted until the ending which made you sit up an take notice!
Yeah I did, thought it was very good. Breffni was some w**ker!

I saw that - it was a lovely piece of work. Pat Shortt can act.

Downfall is magnificent. Das Boot too.

The Strangers - The girl in Xtravision told me to put back the dvd I brought up to her (can't remember what it was) as she said it was the worst film ever. She told me to get The Strangers. I hope she breaks her arm. It was the biggest pile of shite.
Jesus will you never learn. The ones in the local xtravision always point people in the direction of the biggest heaps of shite. I think they must get commission for it. I tend to ignore them and keep what I picked. Which may be shit but at least it's my shit!

Pints believe or not the Germans didn't speak much English to each other as they had, and still have, a perfectly good language of their own! I think on my dvd of Das Boot you can get an English dubbed version but surely it's more authentic in German.

I've been meaning to get out to see that Gran Torino..supposed to be pretty good by most accounts.

Movies you never tire of watching? Mostly comedies. I must have seen 48 Hours and Beverly Hills Cop about a dozen times. Can watch Midnight Run, American Pie and Road Trip til the cows come home.

yer man's 'oirish' accent is so bad it makes it unwatchable

just after watching slumdog millionaire, different and very predictable but good i thought, (despite the rules of who wants to be a millionaire being slightly different and therefore off putting)
