What's next? at some point in the future Cork win Sam and aren't allowed to say Sam's coming home as it might offend the other counties lol?

I like the song. And the English did invent football as we know it. And just who is this "woke brigade" who apparently convinced the FA to drop the song (which is actually about the three decades of misery, at the time, that England fans had endured since '66).

Personally I'd much rather listen to that song than a crowd singing Sweet f**king Caroline.

As someone who knows someone called Caroline im.offended by this song. But also offended thst you dont like it. Im.fuming in fact. Im gona vent my anger on social media thatll teach you

The story seems to hinge on quote from an unnamed person.

Fair chance that the usual suspects (Express/Sun/Morgan/Mail/GB news) are getting their undergarments in a tangle over nothing.

It is probably to distract from Johnson's misdemeanours. Sadly that is probably more likely to be true than not.

From their point of view, it serves to rile up their base.

Doesn't matter a f**k whether it was bullshit.

The fact that it was out there as a story just confirms what they already "knew" and reinforces those attitudes and expectations, so job done.

"Well, it might be bullshit, but it is still a fact that British society is under a serious existential threat from these powerful woke mobs" i.e. a single idiot commenting on Twitter.

The song Football's Coming Home is apparently offensive now and the FA are looking to cancel it 😂

What? Why?

The woke brigade say its offensive to other countries.

Not just the woke brigade. If your not english it would make you puke.
Hardly offensive now, just shite. But the more they sing it the more we get to enjoy ourselves when they inevitably feck up
It sounded good to my ears when the German supporters sang it when bringing the World Cup home to Berlin 2014 and some time after at Wembley.

Absolutely shocking. Liverpool fans have always known what his thoughts were and now it's been proven. He's shown complete disdain for Liverpool from day one.
He'll be back for another year of drivel this year though without a doubt.

No. For saying that Hillsborough was a hooligan issue when it's been proven it wasn't. Disgusting thing to say.
