Quote from: Jim Bob on December 13, 2023, 07:50:37 PMNot be long now ...

Hard to fill the days.

Thursday 21st for me until Monday the  8th.  Just enough time to get rid of the hangover around New Years.

Anyone have any Christmas films they could recommend to watch with about 30 9 year olds? Ones which they might not have seen?

No one talking about the cheap strike on Dougan from Darren Hughes? Shocking.

Dougan was following McCarron everywhere today. Tied him right up.

Seen Wandsworth at close hand when they beat my club in the All-Britain series.

They are a seriously physical outfit and I've seen nearly every representative of Britain to contest the all Ireland junior series in last 8/9 years and I would put them as the strongest..... and they still couldn't get near Arva.

Quote from: nrico2006 on November 18, 2023, 08:59:15 AMWatched Oppenheimer, too long and nothing special. 6 out of 10 at best.

The Creator was visually amazing, was very good but could have been better. 7 out of 10.

The Killer, expected more, bit like a film version of Dexter, only assassin instead of forensics expert. 6 out of 10.

The Whale, better than expected. 7 out of 10.

The killer was the biggest pile of balls ever I watched. I didn't have a clue what was going on.

Quote from: Deerstalker on December 01, 2023, 03:35:16 PMStiffen up the entry requirements to do teaching at university if you want the high starting salary, what's the current entry requirements for St Mary's for example ?

It's not all As at A level that's for sure.
I know a boy who has returned to school to repeat his A Levels this year having got ABB last year. He says he needs AAB to get into teaching in St Mary's.
AAB is standard for teaching at St Mary's.

That's nuts.

We have about 12 students in my school in England at the minute, about 8 of them from Ireland. Like myself, they could t get into university in the north, so they had to come to Liverpool. If they stay here, they will all walk into a job. Back home, not a chance.

Can someone maybe correct me on this...

Is there 30 spaces in Coleraine and 20 in Srandmillis for primary school teaching? I think this was the case about 13 years ago when I tried to get in.

What they want if you back home is mad.

Quote from: Oso on November 25, 2023, 07:09:04 PMMaybe Glen just are not as good a team as everyone makes out??

A team of runners with average football ability. How Ethan Doherty got an all star is beyond me, runs aimlessly until he runs out of space and can't take scores.

Conor Glass, totally anonymous again and yet gets everything from referees.

Glen murdered the advanced mark tonight that nonsense needs to go in football.

Some of the Glen players appear to be made of chocolate. Seems very common they go down holding their head. Is it a coached thing?

Ethan never got an all star.

Glass was outstanding in first half.

Advanced mark is there to be used. Not glens fault it is in operation.

To be fair there was space in front of him and his shot wasn't a mile wide
