General discussion / Triathlon
June 10, 2011, 09:48:01 AM
Doing a Triathlon in the next month and have realised that the winter wetsuit is not best suited to the open water swim.
Taking the thing of and moving to the bike has been a disaster in my brick sessions.
Does anybody know of anywhere that hires out Tri Suits for races?
Would probably have to be in the north.

General discussion / Opps Harry did it again

Prince Harry apologises for using racist language to describe a member of his army platoon.
The News of the World paper said it had a video of the army lieutenant calling a colleague a 'Paki' while pretending to make a phone call to the Queen.
The prince had to apologise in 2005 for wearing a swastika armband to a party, which offended many Jewish people.
A statement from St James Palace said he did so three years ago as a nickname about a friend and without any malice.

Bomb is found near GAA premises

A bomb has been found near GAA premises in Armagh, the police have said.

It was found after police carried out another search in the Friary Road area of Armagh city, following a claim that a device was left there on 13 December.

Inspector Paul Fulham said the device could have caused serious injury. It has been removed for examination.

"This device could have caused serious harm and grief to members of the public, especially children who may have played in the area," he said.

"The people who left it have no regard for life and we do not want them in our society."

What Gaa club was this left outside?
Thankgod that nobody was hurt.

GAA Discussion / McKenna Cup fantasy competition
November 14, 2008, 02:10:38 PM
Pick your fantasy McKenna Cup team  with Gaelic life and Ladbrokes.
Wonder will the players and squads be updated.
Its based upon this years Ulster squads but surely most teams will be trying new players out.

Very similar to the Irish news one for the Ulster championship.
Lets hope they have one running for that too

General discussion / Cross Border Fuel Prices
October 16, 2008, 12:15:41 PM
With the hike in Petrol in the South due to the budget and the price of Petrol in the North falling to under £1 a litre,
Are we going to see the return of petrol stations on the northern side of the border?
I remember in the eighties it was quite common for people in Southern Border counties to come to the North to get there fuel.

GAA Discussion / Belfast telegraph predict the score
September 22, 2008, 04:23:52 PM
Results of the Belfast telegraph predict the score competition are in.
After weeks of blowing about what he was going to do with the £3000, our very own Tony Fearon got beat by one point.
If only he would have predicted a tyrone win of any kind, he would of won.
A real sickener for him.  My heart bleads  ;D

Lads and lassies,
Hearing reports this morning that the game may have to be moved to an alternative venue due to a waterlogged pitch.
Is there any truth in this??
Somebody up there must be trying to keep Fermanagh unbeaten this year in the National League.
