Quote from: square_ball on May 13, 2024, 09:44:57 PMBurns slid in to catch the ball with a Donegal player about to come in and tackle him. I think he called the mark to give himself a few seconds to look at his options.

Also I don't think Burns would have had that kick in his locker.

They were shots to nothing, You could get a shot away and kill the ball and be set up behind. Its very odd that they called marks and then kicked backwards. Maybe a sign the pressure was getting to them?
Yeah, obviously easy to say in hindsight, but as far as I remember we got a couple of turnovers from pushing up on kickouts, take the shot and worst case it goes wide but you've a chance to get set and turn a kickout over.

Loved Nevermind when it first came out, but Nirvana are just a little too raw, too intense for a soft old chap like me.

I do think  your music tastes  change as you  get older.  I was a big U2 fan but I  struggled to name   a top 3 for them.

I find myself now pulling towards Neil Diamond and Kris Kristofferson. My younger self would hate me lol.

Rightfully so!

Disagree tbh, Jarly Og probably hasn't kicked 10 shots with his feet his whole Armagh career, Soupys was the wrong side.
Then why did they call the mark?
Agree, probably both mens biggest strength is running at players, will forgive Soupy as he had played the full game but Jarly was fairly fresh, obviously easy to criticise from the stand but felt he should have played on and went at his man.

Galway are a wounded animal at the minute and need (as we do) all the points. Hopefully we get a reaction too

Quote from: BennyHarp on May 13, 2024, 10:37:21 PMGAA matches have been behind a paywall forever. Even before TV we always had to pay to get in to watch a game live. Why do people expect to get every game beamed into their houses for free but have to pay for the privilege of travelling half the country to watch it live? Maybe we have it arse about face, perhaps we should make it free to get in the ground at all games at every level but put every match on tv behind a paywall.

It's about promoting the game too in fairness, so if you can get all the games why not show them off?

Nevermind is a decent album. Bleach is by far their best tho

I dont think so, In Utero was their best for me.

14 titles in a row.

"Thoroughly enjoyable win.
Time for the Meaths and Kildares to get up to Dublin's pitch" says John Casey

If a small county like Louth can run the Dubs as close then Meath and Kildare should be able to do the same.
Dublin needs to be split into as many counties needed to get the leinster championship competitive again

How many counties would you need to create from Mayo, Galway and Roscommon to give Leitrim and Sligo a shout at winning a Connacht title?

No doubt. I'd have similar feelings about Led Zep and the Doors, who soundtracked my mid teen years. Love listening to Metallica's intros but can no longer take Hetfield's voice.
