Inheritance. My solicitor is working hard as we speak to keep me out of the tax zone. Now own two houses with one very small mortgage only.
Why do you feel a need to share that information. Even on the most mundane topics you never miss a chance to do a bit of attention seeking. Personally I don't give two tosses if you have 22 houses and no mortgage, you're still a bollix of huge proportions

Not one post about being a good landlord, looking after your tenant, ensuring the house is on a fit state of habitation and that it meets the appropriate safety standards etc, setting a rent that is fair and ensuring repairs and maintenance are carried out in a timely manner.

Cable is fine because it had been feeding the Openbox. It's one of the ones that works through the electric sockets. Also bought a Panasonic dongle but it won't work either. I think it's a common problem

Thanks for that Boyce. If IPTV is going to last then I think l might go for the Zgemma. SatsNI in Cookstown offering Zgemma and 12 months sub for £180 or thereabouts   I've a Panasonic Vieta Smart TV with the latest BT home hub but it's not connecting to the Internet any more. Using an Ethernet cable but it won't connect. Any suggestions there?

Any suggestions as to what is the best box for IPTV. I've got an Openbox V8S but thinking of changing. Want something that's easy to record on and has menus as close to the standard satellite providers as possible. Got a 24hr trial on a Firestick which wasn't bad but was a bit fiddly, might suffice for a second TV in a multiroom set up.

There is clearly a class war going on as automation is becoming more widespread to increase profits for the already mega rich, meanwhile working class people become poorer depending on exploitative employers offering poor terms and conditions, zero hours contracts etc or reducing benefits simply to survive. Public sector workers also squeezed to a point where they are merely surviving rather than living.  The world is ripe for revolution but the fight has been beaten out of people. There is a caste system in all bit name

You know well what he means. Whilst it's one thing to deal with a constituency issue for a constituent, it's quite another to represent Catholics/Nationalists in Westminster. For instance would you envisage Gregory Campbell calling for a debate on a topic like Bloody Sunday or RUC collusion?

In any case I can't see what the big deal was. Is it not the case that when elected you're expected to serve all the electorate and not only those who voted for you.

I no longer vote on tribal lines but for candidate (s) who I agree with and who have a track record.

My preference would be for an independent Northern state,if economically viable ultimately, devoid of  toxic, bizarre and irrational allegiances to the British or 26 county states, which has brought about nothing but misery and division.
Sure that's the way most people vote.

Hard to know. We live in strange times - Trump, Brexit referendum.  Corbyn's underdog appeal could work for him in the same way it worked for Major against Kinnock in 1992.  Corbyn might also appeal to young voters wishing to protest. It's a long shot I know but here's hoping
Pity I didn't put money on it

Corbyn' policies are as bird brained as Micheal Foot's back in the early 80s.He has yet to learn that commmunism/socialism is great as long as someone else pays the bills.

Election should render the DUP members at Westminster surplus to requirements at Westminster.SNP had their best ever election last time, just like SF they deliver little or nothing, and a lot of Scots are beginning to see through them.

Overall this could be as bad for Labour as 1997 was for the Tories.
Hung Parliament my arse!

That guy is right. It's all about location. Buy what you can afford in a good area with a view to moving in a few years when your circumstances change ie. when you can afford a move up. If you're in a good area there's always strong demand for first time buyer homes so hopefully you'll make some profit which you offset against your next home. But don't wait much longer because if you're paying rent it's lost money. Good luck.
