Do you reckon Darren  Gleeson is currently being considered by any county ranked higher than Laois?

It's a fairly well known fact that Davy attracts a certain level of commercial interest.
Antrim is a far more commercialized area than Laois.

Recruit internally- so just go with anyone inside who will take it ?
Flawed logic.
Cork, Kilkenny, Tipp and Galway are not successful because they appoint internally.

I would prefer a small number of Laois men.
If none of them want it, we have to go outside.

Was it really poor refereeing? It was the barest of tips, and the ball hardly moved. Perhaps the ref. just didn't see that it had moved?

The ref wouldn't have seen it mainly because he wasn't expecting it. It's a blurred line because in the preamble before a sideline cut, players are teeing the ball, making divots, bending the hurl off the ground. No doubt the ball regularly gets touched during this foreplay without anyone ever considering it to be alive.

99% of time the referee wouldn't see it, no matter how good he was. Linesman might see it but he'd be busy also telling lads to go back their distance etc.

Seeing the minor hurling squad several times this year. I think I could count 15 of the this year u16s with them .
  I experienced them against Westmeath a couple of weeks ago .
