Trump's approval rating is 40.2 %, disapproval 53.6%.

Race for Congress, Dems 46.4%, Repukelicans 39.7% and no sign of the GOP closing the gap.

I'd say the Republicans will take a hammering, but if they smarten up they might hold on.

Their candidates that are making it through the primaries aren't appealing to the swing voters, whereas the Democrats are

Hey whitey, what's going on? That's at least four posts in succession that neither start with, "believe what you want" nor quote the National Review or National Enquirer.

Chinese are laughing at The US at this point.

Have announced 25% tariffs on $50B of imports, firmly targeting Trump's agricultural base voters.

Trump pulling a Germany. You can't fight a trade war with China, and Russia at the same time.

All the while, the UKs unravelling influence following Brexit shows where they really are in the world's list of power brokers.

World changing quickly. China are playing a different game with different time lines. Wars. Trade or otherwise are easy to start, but not so easy to finish.

On the one hand: Calculated, reasoned, strategic with clear goals to develop global trade alliances for china

Other (small) hand: whatever crosses his mind while taking a shit and watching fox news before banging a porn star.

WTF is going on?

Economics suffers from the cat problem. If the cat is put outside via the door it may reenter via the window. Trumpy "solutions" shift problems elsewhere

According to Illinois Farm Bureau - China's imposed tariffs hit the Heartland/Midwest immediately, Soybeans down .40 per bushel that equates to 1.6 billion dollar loss to the farmers already.

Hog prices have dropped $20 per hog.

Farmers are going to be pissed come 2018 voting.

I hope the Repukelicans keep their focus on Hillary right up to the election. Let them sleepwalk into the blue tsunami.

A lot of Democrats think these mid terms are going to be a cake walk. I think they are going to get their asses handed to them in a lot of places that they aren't expecting. No voter reach out, and no leadership. Not exactly what works in middle America...

Not sure how it is going to play out.  Kudlow is a free trade guy and is on the record as saying we will figure this out. I have met Kudlow numerous time through work and he is a very reasonable measured and pragmatic individual.

Also came across him through work, prgamatic, yes indeed. I would however disagree significantly with his economic theory, or at least those from 15 years ago. His TV views are not be those he expressed in his wall St pomp. Interesting to see where he actually comes out in this process.
