Young Paddy Brooks was the standout player on Monday evening for Glenn. Serious pace, power and skill for a lad that age!

Down club games are a Friday night throw in at 7.30. Perfect time and gives the lads plenty of time over the weekend..... then back to training on a Monday night!

Can't really add anything that hasn't been said. Entertaining but more because of two poor-ish enough teams

Jarly Og and O'Neill the two standouts for Armagh, Harrison and McKernan very good for Down. Debutants on both sides all put in good shifts.

On the incident with McGeeney, McKernan was acting the candyman all through the match slabbering away in players ears and demonstrating the lack of class one can only expect from someone from Burren so I have no qualms with Geezer giving him a gentle reminder to f**k up. Maybe not the best example for young fans watching but I'm sure the players didn't mind

I thought McKernan was awful for Down. He has been on a decline the last few years. Amazed at how little has been said about Down's captain Darren O'Hagan's performance on Sunday. Down's best player on the field. An old school defender that gets stuck in and drives his team forward. Rory Grugan couldn't get on the ball at all on Sunday as O'Hagan stuck to him all day. Probably the best defender in Ulster?

What would they have learned from a friendly against an Antrim team that Down beat in 3rd gear in last years championship? Down play Donegal next weekend in Tullylish..Would say this will be their last run out before the championship.

I see the U16.5 All Ireland Final involving St Colmans is down to be played at the National GAA Centre in Abbotstown.  Never been there but a quick search shows that there isn't much of a stand at it (maybe only 200 seats) and no banking around the pitch.  I know the game might only draw 6 or 700 people, but it seems like a strange venue.  Spectators will be stretched out around the fence and it won't have the atmosphere you would associate with a colleges game.

Hogan Cup semi-final was played there last year. Pretty sure it will work ok

Hard to believe its only a week away to 1st meaningful Down game under Tally. Any idea of what team will line out? Are the Burren players back in the panel yet? Bound to be a few university players also available for the league?

well the first game wont have ohagan, mckernan or Johnston cos of the black cards picke up last year I heard

They are due to the red cards received after the Cavan match last year

They have without doubt a very talented forward line and plenty of depth in the forwards. However their midfield and full back line are not great. IF they unearth a few players in midfield and full back they will be one to watch

Video doing the rounds this morning of brolly in a bar/club. Lets just say he was up to no good!

Is there nobody within Down that can be given a chance to manage the clubs. As a county there must be some amount of money lining outside managers pockets. Yes Burren have one of their own but stevie mcdonnell isnt there for free. Would jerome johnson not get a chance with his own club? Maybe its a position he has had in the past.

Clubs obviously don't feel they have men in house that are fit for the job. Is that down to no investment into coaching over the last 2 decades in the county? We have only seen in the last 2 years a bit of investment into this and still is nothing major compared to other counties.

From the top 2 divisions there must only be 5-6 clubs with clubmen as current managers - Burren, Rostrevor, Glenn, Tullylish, Darragh Cross. There may be a few more but I wouldn't say too many!
