Post by: El Jefe on October 27, 2023, 03:36:45 PM
Know it's all over with now but wtf were they playing at with the whole Portlaoise seniors/minors debacle or were they solely to blame?

The LGFA up and down the country seem to make the strangest of decisions.
They seem to love getting into rows and taking unbackable positions.
In comparison to the GAA & Camogie associations they seem to be mad as a box of frogs.

Some crap going on again. Don't really know the ins and outs but the lgfa committee sacked the volunteer minor management for some very strange reason. It was appealed and voted on at egm the other night and the chairman got the deciding vote as it ended a draw with most clubs backing the management to be reinstated. Then once they got rid of the management the chairman resigned leaving no sitting chairperson again. The man at the center of the portlaoise fiasco withdrawing from leinster club senior was heavily involved again as he took over the training of the minors once the management was sacked and he was already sitting with the committee. Dont like mentioning names but power in positions been abused to the limit it is.

Those involved last year in the Portlaoise debacle should hang their heads in shame, them Clowns don't care about Ladies football in Laois they are just on a power trip we have 2 Kildare men over the Senior Ladies team at a cost, they have lost all their matches so far all the progress that has been made over the last few years is now gone .

Yes it def is blueforever to b on a committee and have power over every1 under you The senior ladies are averaging 5 points a game, the turnover of players is alarming, senior coaches are s&c coaches and good at that aspect by all accounts, there is no finance available and not sure even if they have a sponsor, there is no minor county team because of the fiasco even tho they had a management to lead them forward, portlaoise withdrew from leinster and the laois lgfa committee reward the manager by bringing him onto the board, how can clubs trust or listen to them and they wonder why they are in rapid decline. Its a pity this merger with all accosiations is not pushed ahead sooner rather than later

No one the way it is at the moment but it needs to happen to sort it out as the people in there can't run it.. we will end up with no county teams.. just 2 year after winning an all ireland. No sense
