Flip me I was near the top once , now Im just above the relegation zone

Those Welsh ones let me down , and the Uruguayans, the Germans ,  the Polish........

I've misunderstood this competition, I thought it was that you'd to pick the countries most likely to fck it up, hence why I went with the Belgians and the Germans..

On a side note anyone who picked England should have automatically been ejected from this competition, have we forgotten the 800+ years of oppression that quickly?
 ;D

General discussion / Re: A United Ireland. Opening up the discussion.

Seems the bigger threat to unity comes from indifferent "nationalists" who would have previously have been considered a definite Yes to Unity vote.

Which is crazy when you think about it. Would rather live with the DUP still pulling the strings, a Tory government who don't give a flying f@ck and pretend to themselves that the NHS is amazing and that their pension will be taken away from them if they leave the UK. It's like they  listen to what Bryson, Sammy Wilson etc say and then believe it ffs.

Neither the NHS or our pensions are safe. Sure they near blew the pensions with your woman Truss's budget.

There's buck all safe with the tories. Nothing.

We'll only find that out nearer the time.

As soon as I can pull some cash out of my pension pot I will, as it's the next big financial scam looming on the horizon.

Well done to Liatroim winning the Ulster intermediate hurling final, brilliant achievement 👏

Well done indeed, a crack at some serious teams in the ai semifinal awaits.

Brilliant achievement by the Fontenoys.

Major achievement and performance. Number of players out the hand up for Down next season. The All Ireland series will be a step up in standard

They play Toureen of Mayo the weekend of the 17-18th, Toureen being the Mayo senior champions and having seen off the Roscommon senior finalists and the Galway intermediate winners.

Give it a good rattle is all you can ask.

Even  english fans at the World Cup  support the Palestinians.  Theres a couple of videos about with English fans shouting free Palestine on Israeli TV

Apparently the Israeli media  are generally  being shunned by supporters, and  some taxis/restaurants  in Qatar are refusing to deal with them or take their money
Seen that, was fairly surprised tbh

The media in the UK hide this stuff for fear of being labelled as anti-sematic but underneath it all there is a support for Palestinians.

It's no different to how the local media failed to report on over 50% of the speeches at the recent UN assembly in NYC called on the US to lift it's embargo's on Cuba.

France will be the best outfit theyve played in any of the tournaments in 2018, 2021 and this one. England are decent enough in fairness to them but have played 4 poor teams so far. If France had Benzema Id be fairly certain France would win but think England could do it.

If they played like that against the French for 35 mins they will French toast

I hope the French were watching, play MBappe out on the French right, give the ball to Harry Maguire at every opportunity and he'll pass it straight to MBappe..

Its definitely more open in Belfast these days. How do you conclude people are doing it more openly when driving?

Maybe he can smell it from parked cars. I've noticed this myself.
Yeah noticed this myself a good bit. Daft

Ormeau park riddled with weed - I'd run through it a lot. Definitely getting more open in the streets too.

The smell of weed walking through Downpatrick in pungent

That's dog shite you're smelling  ;)

Fair play to them.

It must be so deflating busting your balls for scores then tj Reid nonchalantly sticking them over.
Poor mistake by the keeper, follow the original flight of the ball, still in it though.

TJ looking slow for the first time

Do Dunloy now face Ballyhale or St Thomas's?

Dungiven seem the closest from what I can see. Realistically Dunloy the strongest by a good bit in antrim so if slaughtneil better than them hard to judge the rest of derry. You'd imagine Dungiven at least would be competitive in antrim. Lavey seem to have dropped off.

I think Dungiven gave them a better game than Portaferry but I also think Slaughtneil *probably* prepare to peak for ulster.

Derry always has good hurlers in it. Maghera always competitive. It's just that they're all footballers too.

They did but it isnt always accurate to compare like this as time and conditions have changed-Slaughneil would be up a level now from Derry final-they have found another couple young lads too

Is young McAllister of Cushendall stock?

Remember talking to an old mate from the Dall at a minor game in Ballinascreen and SN were playing, but never made the connection.

Not sure but likely with that surname .

A few folk about the locality with that surname and no links to the Glens. He's a Tirnony man.

Does the Da answer to the nickname "Brains"?

Look at the surface at Croke compared to Armagh, world of difference

Croke park hosts a fraction of the games Armagh Athletic grounds hosts

In general scrappy enough on a sticky looking pitch, lots of missed lifts etc etc but well done Dunloy.

Did Nicky Mckeague score two from the bench?
