Taylors worse final beating since 1994. Still though 170,000 money for runners up is a nice retirement package. Well done to Cross some story he was close to flawless tonight and he beat the very best to win this championship.

That is some performance by Cross, savage stuff.

Taylor hammered by unknown Rob Cross, such a perfect way for him to go out  ;D ;D ;D

He tried every trick he had, playacting the whole match, to absolutely no avail.

Incredible debut season by Cross.

Both he and Sky made sure of that. Made it all about Taylor post match and Cross was nearly apologising for having beaten him. Wouldn't be surprised if Taylor told him not to celebrate so that he could soak up the acclaim because the lack of emotion from Cross was bizarre for a first time winner.

I doubt that but I did think Cross should have got more acclaim... Taylor's career is unreal though...

If it had've been MVG there he wouldn't stood for the nonsense. Taylor supposedly tried his mind games & slabbering with MVG a few years back and MVG is meant to have told him 'shut up knob'😀

No, he's just an arrogant git who is also a convicted sex offender. He was a great darts player but impossible to like or celebrate.

It was during the Grand Slam of darts a few months back, he tried his gamesmanship during a break in play and MVG told him where to go. Cross was like a lion during the match and wasn't intimidated one bit but let Taylor take centre stage after it so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Taylor had words.

Even I think that's a nonsense suggestion. It was quiet clear that Cross was the one bringing Taylor over to take photos with the trophy, while Taylor looked rather uncomfortable if anything.

Surely for any of his haters a perfect way for him to go out was early exit and not to reach the final collecting 170,000 cheque and bear in mind that is close to the same money he collected for his last World title win in 2013.

Taylor wasn't playing this tournament to top up his bank account.

Played it to give it his best shot on his last ever World tournament. Lets be honest He had no chance of winning the final after that kiss of death prediction ;D
