According to https://www.transfermarkt.com/glasgow-rangers/transfers/verein/124

This season - Sevco have spent nearly €12million, recouped around €3million and brought in 9 players + more returning from loan etc

Where the fcuk are they getting the money???

Is history repeating itself, that's a seriously high level of turnover of players. They will be under pressure to deliver trophies given that level of spending.

You would imagine that the wage bill will have taken a hike also with the amount of bodies incoming and the number of free transfers.

They ALL buy players Seanie

Guardiola 22 at City (despite inheriting by far the best squad)
Klopp 19 at Liverpool
Poch 22 at Spurs
Mourinho 10 at Utd......

ZZ only bought 6 at Real but the riches he inherited meant he didn't need to.

That's just another example of confirmation bias.

Designed to paint a picture that Mourinho has been given limited resources when most rational people know that this is clearly not the case.

I could equally throw out another stat about gross spend, net spend or wage bill which would paint an entirely different picture. And it predates Mourinho's appointment, it began under the Woodward regime with some of the ludicrous contracts offered to the likes of Rooney, Falcao, Di Maria, Ibrahimovic etc which has caused a spiralling of wages which has culminated in the lucrative Sanchez deal. That's not Mourinho's fault but it is a recipe for creating ill feeling within a dressing room if the level of wages are not in line with actual performances.

Bigger result for Man U was Spurs defeat tonight. Spurs failure will be the catalyst for MP to Old Trafford in the next 9 months

I think this is looking like the most likely outcome. Mourinho won't walk, things won't get any better and the toxic atmosphere will linger on until mid season when no top manager is available bar Zidane who will want full control but won't be given it. It will probably be a caretaker then until the end of the season when Pocchetino becomes available.

Relative success for Woodward at this point is finishing top 4, the minute that looks unlikely Mourinho will be gone. Until that happens he will not fire Mourinho as the heat will then turn onto the board. We seen that a few weeks with Gary Neville's comments after it appeared Mourinho was on the verge of the sack, then Woodward pulled back after the public reaction.

Pocchetino would be a good fit for the regime that is in place, he is happy to work with what he has and maximizes his resources. Given a large transfer kitty which he has never had, he could be a top class manager.

It looks like the group could well come down to the last game against Valencia away from home. A draw there should be enough to scrape through but given the level of performance we have seen, it is by no means certain. Failure to qualify out of a relatively easy CL group would see another complete waste of a season. Meanwhile there exists a certain air of apathy inside the stadium at games, a complete disconnect between fans and team.

Dire first half, dropping off and playing like the away side. Improved second half and that was Lindelofs best game since he came to the club thought he was excellent. Matic and Lukaku dreadful again, both need dropped.

Has McGregor gone into media exile since last Saturday night, I haven't seen an interview with him yet since his defeat which is very unusual for him.

Err, look at his social media before posting this.

I was referring to an interview. He didn't do the post fight press conference and hasn't given an interview since then either to the best of my knowledge which is unusual given his media profile. I highly doubt if McGregor personally runs his own social media content and there is rarely anything of any interest on it anyway.

I'd say the DUP and the hardline Brexiteers are in cahoots on this one.

Making life difficult for May on the budget could possibly push the Tories into a leadership battle and I honestly believe that the DUP think Boris or Fox are more aligned to their rationale than May.

Hardline Brexiteers can then blame the DUP for Mays departure with clean hands as they set about f**king up Brexit with a no deal scenario.

Fair point, but the DUP will know that the hard line Brexiteers will use them to advance their own cause of overthrowing May but these hardline Brexiteers are still no less likely to throw the DUP under a bus than the present government are.

Like others, I'd be amazed if Nab overturn Cross in the final. Maghery were without their 2 best midfielders yet Nab just about did enough in the semi final. Cross have stepped up a gear from the League campaign after the return of a few key players.

One month ago, I wouldn't have had Cross down as favourites to win the championship but they have been very impressive in their last 2 matches and can realistically have an outside chance of winning an Ulster championship given their pedigree. Particularly given the fact that there doesn't appear to be any one clear outstanding team in Ulster at the minute. I still think they have plenty of weaknesses in certain areas but they have a core group of about 5 or 6 players who are vital to their success.

Jesus lads let us get over the Nab first before talking Ulster's 😂. A county championship would be a huge achievement this year and if we do that I reckon they might rest at that

I think you would have taken a county championship at the beginning of the year. However Cross have the pedigree in Ulster that other clubs simply do not and that counts for a lot. The performances of both Maghery and Harps in the last 2 years show how difficult it is for first time winners to compete successfully at provincial level. I don't think Cross will fall into that trap providing they get the job done against the Nab. Whether they are good enough to compete to win Ulster, I'm not too sure yet but it won't be for the want of resting on their laurels.

I just don't see a standout team in the province this year. Kilcoo, Scotstown would be the obvious choices but they will likely end up playing each other in the first game.

As the UK EU exit deal nears closer I think people here are still a little bit blase about the actual consequences although I do notice a lot more fear as the deadline approaches.

Once the practical consequence become evident in the buisness, farming, manufacturing and tourism sectors alongside others though, I think the DUP may face a backlash from the crucial middle of the road voters. That is,unless they have a complete U turn and push for a best of both worlds deal for the 6 counties which will not happen. Either way they are self destructing when it comes to preserving their sacred Union by being strong advocates of Brexit.

I know of several county boards in Ulster who are dishing out fines to clubs of up to €500 for petty technical infringements such as players not wearing correct numbers, too many personnel inside the pitch, team changes not being notified to the announcer before a match.

The same county boards meanwhile will brush violent brawls and physical fights under the carpet. Until the county boards start taking these things seriously this will continue until someone gets seriously injured or worse.

It could be that McGregors lifestyle is catching up with him. Once he has lost that edge and hunger he has lost something intangible as a UFC fighter at the elite level. His primary motivation appears to be money and he already has enough of that.

Mc Gregor was humiliated inside the ring but Nurmagomedov humiliated himself after the fight. For McGregor what goes around comes around. What is amusing is all the McGregor disciples feigning outrage at the Russians post fight antics. The irony.

Yes, it WAS a disgrace but don't be hypocrites, McGregor has acted like trash for years.

Utd 8/1 at ht, def worth a bet. That Newcastle side is pretty poor, there for the taking if get first goal.

Hope you got on. That second half is the way it should be with United. Plenty of attacking players on the pitch, absolutely no structure but it was exciting for the fans.

It has saved Mourinho for now.
