Great news greeted hurling fans in the county this Thursday when Limerick GAA secretary Mike O Riordan confirmed that the popular weekly GAA Beo television programme on TG4 will becoming live from the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday October 3rd.

The Limerick hurling decider will top the bill for GAA fans afternoons entertainment with both Emmetts and Kilmallock meeting in what should be a fantastic final.

After two very interesting semi finals at the weekend, in which both Emmetts and Kilmallock came through, they will now square off in a novel final to battle it out for the much coveted Daly cup.

It is the first time that TG4 will show a Limerick county senior hurling final live and is a major boost to the profile of the final.

Full time secretary 'O Riordan was quick to comment on the great news "The all south decider is attracting huge interest from within the county and the showing of the game live on TG4 is going to further add to the hype that surrounds the game already, I was delighted when the news was confirmed to me this morning".

This is a much needed boost to the game in the county and to the Gaelic Grounds which just three short weeks later will host a test of International Rules series in which Anthony Tohills Ireland side will take on the mite of the Australians.

KILMALLOCK AND EMMETS will contest the SENIOR HURLING FINAL

Was Anthony Thompson of Naomh Conaill's speech televised after he lifted the cup? It was rather blue to say the least from the boys in blue.

Aw he just got carried away with a few f**ks here and there. Thought he'd have been better behaved though with all the cameras about. Suppose the head was flying after only the second time the clubs has lifted the Dr Maguire cup.

That's a joke to be honest.  The current AI club champions playing against the most successful club of recent years are playing.  You could be paranoid about the scheduling if you were from Ulster!

as i said on this thread a few posts back (but a year ago), the auld tg4 van likes to stay in and about Galway if at all possible.  Keeps the costs down.
Anyway, maybe the beeb will be showing it!
