Brilliant game of hurling again today.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

What were the McDonagh, Rackard, Ring and Meagher finals like.

Seemed to go under the Radar for some reason.

Funny that!

It's just one brilliant game after another, is not a bit too predictable. Would it not be better to have a dire oul affair just to lower everyone's expectations. It would be a bit more dynamic and then you give out a bit more instead of just enthralled all the time.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

A lot of good games at these levels as they're teams of a similar standard and yes, very little coverage.

I would not doubt the games were good! But hey no need to promote the smaller counties when you have the Super 8 in hurling playing top notch week in week out. Feck them lot!

Definitely good entertainment, a good filler while waiting for  the last round of games.

Have to say this hurley stuff is exciting.
Maybe it helps that anyone of 10 teams could win it to start off.

The hurling hyperbole reaches a new nadir.

Galway were the firm favourites but have shown suggestions they may be infallible. Outside that cork, tipp, Waterford were meant to be genuine contenders now Clare and limerick have emerged ahead of those 3 and Kilkenny can never be written off. Dublin, Wexford, Offaly are the b rate sides. That's a very generous 7 almost as generous as saying Kildare were ai contenders st the start of the year.

Football is in a monopoly stage with one dominant team.
Hurling is post monopoly with Kilkenny back to mediocrity so there is a more balanced feel with a number of teams in genuine contention.

Exactly. . . it wasn't that long ago Kilkenny and Cork were the only 2 decent teams. . . The 2 games were fantastic but why do I have to listen to some nomark who plays club Hurling in Carlow or Derry and couldn't even puck it off their bad side acclaim to me that hurling is the best sport in the world!!

Not the hurling you play lad!!

What on earth are you rambling on about?

Hurling pricks with an inferiority complex having to tell anyone and everyone who plays another sport that Hurling is the best sport in the world!

I kind of agree. Its time for a poor game to put the great games in perspective.

All very competitive if you must know but yes your second point is well made and the GAA need a good boot up the hole.

There is no reason the finals of these competitions couldn't have been the precursor to those games over the weekend or even the two quarter finals.
