Unsure whether there has been a group for this made yet but here it goes.

Some interesting groups on display here. The Down representatives were the dominant forces last year with Bryansford finishing on top. Who does everyone fancy this year?

Shamrock Shore

I see Longford have sent no drinking football representatives this time out.

Any idea of the schedule on Saturday? Nothing on the website

Haven't heard anything apart from fact that opening matches are at 11am. Last year it was all finished up at 7pm as far as i can remember. Eoghan Rua, Coleraine were quite impressive for their first ever 7s tournament. They could be dark horses.

Atticus_Finch

Yeah they didn't do bad last year.  Wouldn't consider them as dark horses this year though.  Whiskey Steve has told me they are only playing there u-21s.

If I was looking for a dark horse, i'd definitely go for Glenullin.

Relatively easy group and the lads have been doing special 7s training for quite a while now.

Had Glenullin a full team id put them up with a real good chance.
Beat in quarters by the eventual winners last year without the two Bradleys playing.
Beat in a final a few years ago by a point against St Galls
However missing quite a few. Paddy Bradleydone his knee in training the other night (while playing a 7s match versus Coleraine) Gerard O Kane is still missing and Dominic Mc Ilvar (a player suited to this game) is is long term injured

The year glenullin were beat by st galls in the final by a point, the squad of 10 all had 50 quid a man on themselves to win it outright at 25/1!!

Maybe how they did so well that year!

What's the criteria for a good 7's player?

Ye'll do well to get out of the group with An Riocht in it.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

No they're in the same group. Both sides scored 5-7 in their first matches. They clash in the third.
