That sounds atrociously lonely and disspirited for Christmas. Any other time of the year OK, but Christmas.........
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Don't knock till you've tried it.

I have tried it...for two years running. But to head there for Christmas is lunacy. Family, warmth of spirit, a sense of belonging, feck Eagle.

What on earth did you do?

Why do freestaters say "the" christmas?
Christmas =25th .
the Christmas is short for the Christmas period = 24th-4th .
At least for me.
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Stay down there. I'm sure the local dole office will be happy to see you . At a Dub can take your job.
