This is all top class stuff Mayo but we need something else, a twist in the tale, a moment of madness, just something to add to the drama of it all. Liam McHale comes along and gives the chairman one of his famous running slaps or McStay gives him one with the back of his folder. Surely Conor Mortimor has some antics to get up to, Blondie McDonald? What's your next move Mayo?

Hughie Emerson, Leo Turley and Barney Maher are crazy omissions from this team.

I didn't want to get accused of bias but clearly they should be in along with Mick Lawlor, Goggie Delaney and big Georgie Doyle.

Ah this is another year that Mayo fans got their hopes up thinking it was their time to lift Sam and yet again it ends in embarrassment. You have to feel sorry for them in a way but at the same time it's a bit funny. They never learn do they? I think it was last years final that had Maughan saying he just felt deep down that this was Mayo's time, he really should know better.
The longer the wait goes on the more obsessed and fanatical they all become. It's at scary levels now, a part of you thinks you'd like them to win but that would end the hilarity of it all, this latest episode is comedy gold. I know Mayo fans wont appreciate this comment and they don't exist for other people's entertainment but keep it up lads, maybe next year will be your year.  ;D

Donegal have their London sugar daddy while Dublin get a few quid here and there. Havent heard ought of Mayo and Kerry spending crazy money. Whats the word on the street Huggy?

I don't know where you're going talkin like that. This is a place where manly men and women have a decent chat about the GAA. Using your sort of lingo would get yourself a baitin in most clubs in Ireland.

Unfortunatley that sort of thing is a regular occurance in Dubl$n. You live there at your own risk. Hopefully Cooper recovers quickly.

Was a poor enough game. We're well used to defensive matches these days but score taking has improved greatly over recent years, yesterday it was very poor. Loads of shots wide and there was a lack of pace to the attacks. Both teams were over cautious. Kerry deserved the win though and great credit must go to Fitzmaurice.
On another note, something has to be done about the finances for inter county teams. It's no coincidence that the four semi finalists had far more resources available to them than most of the other counties. Dubl$n obviously had the most but the other three had plenty of cash to spend too.
It's an amateur sport lads, the spending and other stuff going on is getting out of control. We need to cut the legs from underneath it before it's too late.

There was bad calls made against both sides, even for the last free in normal time that Hennelly took, a Kerry player was clearly fouled before hand but Mayo were given a chance to win the came. It was far from a biased performance from the ref. It was a bad performance but not biased.
I know it's hard to accept, we all notice the bad calls made against our team but don't notice many that go in our favour. I was a bit biased watching the match as I had a little investment on Kerry and I was of the opinion that the ref was being kind to Mayo. At the end of it all the better team won, Kerry dominated midfield and had far more dangerous options in attack. It's a credit to Mayo to stay in it for so long but they were beaten by a better team on the day, not the ref. It's as simple as that.

This is going to be one of the all time classic finals. They'll be talking about it for decades. Croke Park will be a sea of green and gold. The noise coming from there will nearly cause an earthquake. It'll be a game played with a higher level of intensity than we've ever seen before. Blood will be spilled and that's just on the sideline. The wild men v the animals, let the battle commence!

They'll be coming to take you away now Biffo.

The ref didn't cost Mayo the game, Mayo were destroyed in the second half of extra time and should have been well beaten in normal time. He didn't have a great game but he made mistakes that cost both Kerry and Mayo. All penalty decisions were correct, the frees awarded to Donaghy were also correct. If you watch the replays you can clearly see Keane pulling him back.
Keane was obviously told that he had to be physical, he got too distracted by this thought and never concentrated on the ball. Mayo are short a few to win an All Ireland. Obviously they need a couple of extra top level forwards, a full back and they need some more pace around the middle. They might be able to find a few to cover these positions but then they've got the problem in their heads to overcome. That will be the hardest part of all to resolve.

Ah it's the salt of the earth Dubs true character coming out for all to see. Scratch the surface and you'll find that level of nastiness amongst many of them.

I don't disagree, just think he's a good poster in that he stirs debate. An articulate Dont Matter so to speak.

Ya got that backwards, Dont Matter can articulate with the best of them.

That is completely out of order. Copy yourself on for Jaysus' sake.

Yes Brogan was completely out of order that day. Classless like many Dubs.

Well obviously they're not the best team ever, just the team with the biggest level of financial backing the GAA has or ever will see. In an amateur sport where most teams are struggling for resources that level of funding will get you quite far. The Dubs will probably go begging for more money now, start increasing their noise levels about being treated as a province on there own. The monster still lives.
