I put Kodi on a firestick during the week and then installed the Beast. I was trying to watch a match during the week using the Live Sports > BT Sport Europe link on the landing screen but it would only work for a few minutes and then would cut off. I have a 6 Meg download speed, I assumed that would be enough to stream. I've no bother watching films, tv shows or freeview channels on it. Is the server just too busy?

I couldn't get rte going on the iVue guide links either. I was getting an error message and it was saying to check the logs. Any ideas?

There is limited cache available on the Firestick and it fills up very quickly. I empty the cache everytime I launch Kodi.... Its more of a problem watching live stuff than streaming tv series and the like

Well done. We have had far better teams that didn't qualify for major tournaments and we have benefitted from the increase of teams next year.

A win or a couple of draws next Summer will be ok for me. Cannot see us getting out of a group. Papers will have us worldbeaters by then no doubt.

This team is a very likeable bunch.

If my understanding of it is right 16 teams will emerge from the group stages from the 24 starters meaning the top 2 come out of each group plus the 4 best third place teams. If we got a decent group we'd not be without a shout of going through??

Travelling to the Aviva tomorrow night from the north, usually I stay over in Dublin so traffic and parking is not an issue, however tomorrow night I'm coming back north after the game.

What would anyone recommend for the best way to get to and get parked in the area, or is it worthwhile parking in the city centre and making our way out to the Aviva.

Someone recommended to me to park in Malahide and get the DART to Lansdowne Road, any advice would be appreciated.

I always come from the North across the Eastlink so can only tell ya from that perspective but once through the toll and round the corner there is parking on both sides of the road and some fields/industrial ground used for pay parking, this leaves u about 15/20 mins walk to pitch. We generally drive past all this, turn right at main junction and into Irishtown and park down some of side streets there, it halves the walk to the ground and if your swift at getting out of the ground on the final whistle it'll save you a load of time as the queue at toll can be long...

If your coming from other side all this info is useless of course :-)

The Firestick retails at £35 so I suppose £65 isn't too bad for something that comes "fully loaded" if you think you're not good at that kind of thing. However my experience would be that eventually you will have to perform some kind of maintenance/updating to it yourself. Its just a fact of life with kodi that stuff disappears/reappears/stops updating over time, with that in mind a little bit of knowledge early on will go a long way.

Flick back through the thread I think there are links to guides for installing Kodi to a stick and then install "The Beast" build on it. If not I can point you to a couple of easy guides on Youtube

Is Anyone here using a VPN with theirs. The reason I ask is that I've found Genesis and Phoenix to be unreliable this last few weeks and it can take ages to find a decent stream. I'm pretty sure its not the box (MXIII) as I use sportsmania and its working perfectly.

BTW - For those of you who don't mind paying a bit sportsmania is a great add-on. less than €40 for a 6 month subscription and access to more sports channels than you could ever watch (including every EPL match every weekend, every NFL game and NFL redzone). You can even use it through a browser, i.e. perfect if you're away from home.

I've never used a VPN but I have had issues with both Genesis and Phoenix lately, pretty much the same as you struggling to find a decent stream at times. Curiously the problem doesn't seem as bad on a laptop that I've Kodi installed on as it is on my Firestick, I updated the Firestick to the latest version of Kodi last night but never got checking it yet.

The Beast is definitely a slick build with an excellent looking interface but like all these custom builds it is only as good as the addons underneath it and anyone using Kodi regularly will have most of them installed anyway. You will find the same problem occurring from time to time with missing and broken links...
