The Athletic Grounds are a credit to Armagh compared to a lot of places imo. A decent stadium is well worth the money.

Armagh club leagues round 13 is 26th July and round 14 (final round) is 2nd August. Championship will be towards end of August. What are club players doing from March until Tyrone are out apart from playing 5 league games?

It's not that changes to the Derry team I'd be thinking about from the league it's the changes to the Galway team.

Just Padraig McGrogan that featured in the match against Galway in the league game not named on that Derry 26 and he's replaced by McKinless. A depleted side and potential injury crisis?

Conversation of the big three talk will be back on should Derry win this weekend.  A win will put them in the box seat to top the group and then perhaps talking on a Mayo,Tyrone or Monaghan in the last eight tie that they'll be expected to win.  Should Dublin play Kerry in one semi final you could be looking at All Ireland final spot for Derry yet.

If we beat Galway with a depleted side undoubtedly those conversations will happen in the media.
But if we get beaten in the manner we did against Donegal - regardless of team on the field, the talk will be of the wheels coming off in the media.

I'd love to win, but if we lose I'm more interested in a good performance as 2 bad ones in a row will do nothing for confidence.

I'd say Galway will be a lot stronger this week than they were then. Should be a tight game cute hoorism aside.

Got that wee bit of tension as well, nothing nasty or anything but you could feel it.

Not a bad thing entertainment wise though.

Kerry are the one team this year who I've felt have been playing their cards very close to their chest, that or they've just been pretty poor. Seeing that's it's Kerry we'll have to give them the benefit of the  doubt I suppose. I remember thinking Derry had moved ahead of them in the pecking order but the league reslly is just the league. I'd be tempted to back them for the AI at this stage- not that it would be a huge shock if they won.

Joe Kernan said last week that the the only serious teams were Dublin, Armagh, Derry, Mayo and Galway.  We needn't worry about the likes of Donegal and Kerry for Sam, although they are nice to visit.

Would definitely have Donegal ahead of Mayo and maybe Kerry as well at this stage, never rule out the Tyronies as well.

I've a feeling Louth and especially Monaghan will cause Kerry loads of problems.

There was 30K at the game last year and it included the Dublin v Galway Leinster hurling game. There was a decent smattering of maroon around Croke Park that day.

Attendance won't be great. A round of Dublin club games Division 1-4 fixed for 6-30 that evening.

They had a round of junior games on 3 mornings of Leinster championship games. With looking to have leagues wrapped before club championship no leeway to move games.

The condensed season with all the extra matches in a shorter period of time is the real problem. It's hard to keep up with what is happening and not everything can be televised. GAA people have developed expectations about what will be available. And the football product isn't what it used to be either.

Agree with everything here. People's expectations need to be reined in. It is ridiculous to expect every single game to be free to air all of the time, but that seems to be the hill that some are dying on.

With technology these days I don't think it'd be that difficult to be honest. Or at least the vast majority

Hope we get a good crowd out to support the lads, need a boost after that result

I'd say it'll be tougher for ourselves and Mayo as provincial losers to pick ourselves up, ourselves especially given the nature of the defeat and the effort put in to winning a provincial. Very hard to mentally come back from that. Clare and Louth both gave encouraging performances as underdogs and will take a lot from their defeats and both have a good chance of getting out of the group.
