Aghaloo have decided not field reserves or seniors for the rest of the year. Poor form for a club going round trying to sell tickets.

They are already promoted and have only have 1 senior game left to fulfil. Looking at the table that game could be weeks away. Would hardly blame them tbf.
I know they got the points on the board early and secured promotion. On the other hand, there are plenty of clubs across the county with nothing to play for. Indeed many show up knowing they are going to get hammered but at least they fulfill the fixtures If they all just went feck it the leagues would be some mess.

The league's are a mess anyway. No games for 8 weeks in high summer, then meaningless league games now in October.

It is. There is no reason why Div 3 especially should be sitting looking at another two weeks of league games finishing in the 3rd week in October before the playoffs even commence. The team that comes out of teh playoffs will have another 3 weeks minimum after that so it will be mid November before they are finished. As you say, there were an awful lot of Saturdays in particular over the summer where teams would have been quite happy to get games played.

The Under 20 season delayed Div 3 this year more so than the Senior season.

Onthe40

main point is that it makes a mockery of the Div3 playoffs with teams getting in there being handed easy points and other teams having to earn them to get there..

Pearse Blue

Whats the thoughts on Errigal and Trillick having to play this weekend? Surely going to put out weak teams to avoid knocks?? Makes it meaningless. Don't agree

southtyronegael

League's should be finished before a ball is kicked in championship.

skeog

STG correct games being fixed is wrong imo makes joke of competitions. Not nice you going out against a team needing to win, when your rivals up the road have their game already won.

Hearing that Frank's appeal was unsuccessful last night.

Expected with a galbally man on the panel.

What was he sent off for?
It is what it is. Presumably.

Very little, questionable if it was even a bookable offence.

Yeah,
This shouldnt happen. Its one thing having starred games for senior players, but the whole club scene cant come to a halt for u20s.
It may be tough on clubs that have a few in the u20 squads, but something has to give somewhere.
Club football should continue without the county u20 players
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either
