I can see the Armagh ones are losing the run of themselves again. In fairness they have a great ability to have games won before they are played.  I’d usually always support the Ulster team but the disrespect shown to Westmeath is remarkable…

Whatever about Gough in general, surely there is no sense of injustice about the red card yesterday?

No probs with the red. I actually think it is time to remove a shoulder charge when a fella already has the ball. But I have a problem with the neck tackle that wasn’t a straight red and the general decision making for most of the game was poor…
He is authoritive but I think a poor ref. He has a history of incorrect red cards for Tyrone stretching back a number of years. But if he doesn’t give a fcuk about his performance then neither do I.

His sending off percentage of Tyrone players is great.. no other man in history sends them off like gough.  Fair play to him..

You will not beat them later if you dont beat them tomorrow. Mayo need to perform as the best team in Ireland as Dublin, Kerry etc have all been doing recently. Mayo are still my dark horse, no pint hoping to prove it in an all ireland final, convince yourself of it now.  tomorrow may change that.   Get on top and stay on top.

first match Kerry V Derbys Offaly. I wrote in primary school about it the next day. A day etched in folkore featuring immortal footballers and the 3 ps.. a push, a powerful instinctive shot, and and a punch in the air.   
Mc Crory cup final: St Pats Maghera V St Colmans - James Mc Cartan scoring an unbelievable losing hat trick.
Down V Meath 1991. Ulster teams didnt win all Irelands, couldnt believe what I had just witnessed... and with it a lifechanging sense of hope that Tyrone could do it sometime...

Tyrone v Derry 1995. The absolute filleting of a team who believed that they were capable of winning more than 1 all Ireland. The ultimate in white heat bare knuckle football.  Tyrone never let Paul Donnelly play the rest of the year until maybe the final few minutes but the sheer defiance he showed in that second half meant that a statue in Clones to him was always an inevitability…..as Derry frantically probed for a way through a Tyrone brick wall with no entrance, Canavan, Cush, Stevie Lawn, Seanie Mc Laughlin, Jody Gormley all had some of their finest moments in a red handed Geansaí that day. Hammer the hammer was included in the Oxford English Dictionary after that game..
