Ros made Galway favourites for the AI in 2012 by an inept display, lack of game plan, lack of fitness etc.
We did the same last Sunday.

Jesus Christ told ye to be kind and love one another.
Not many took His advice.

If you're in your early 30s on a team with no obvious game plan and "ad hocing" from game to game and you've 10 years service......

We'll do well to make the Sam cut in 2027 as there will be no Smiths, Murtaghs or Dalys by then.
We'll make it next year as we'll be in D1.
The above mentioned lads were in their youthful prime when we won Connachts in 2017 and 2019. Even then we couldn't compete at National level shipping some awful Quarter Final hammerings.

The 2020s have in the main been disappointing at Senior while remaining between 9th and 12th in the unofficial pecking order.

I can't understand the point that if teams have a bad midfield we have to bring back the old rules.
What next?
Abolish goals because some teams don't score any?

I'm well aware we have a poor midfield but changing kick out rules is not the answer.
Up to our management to try and remedy it.

Quote from: gallsman on April 19, 2025, 08:57:23 PMIs this what people really want? Utter incompetence from teams and referees glorified because it's dramatic? Lowest common denominator for idiots.

That game ended up close. The football played was, by and large, disgracefully bad.
You're following the wrong sport if you don't think that was good...and it bucketing. Better than good, a great game.

Absolutely.
The moany brigade are gone beyond painful at this stage.

We travel in hope but not much expectations.
Hopefully a decent performance and see where that takes us.
Hopefully poor oul Laythrum on their new pitch don't get humiliated too much.

You'd hope they're at least not covering it up any more.

He's not a fan of the still mythical "Border poll" but the shared Ireland initiative is one of the few practical All Ireland things I see happening.

Anyway the "Border poll" is not in his gift, it's up to the Brit S of S to call it and that won't be happening if only 40% of the 6 Cos people are in favour of an All Ireland State.
You folks need to get working on the "don't knows" and "Others"

Don't recall an Taoiseach saying the 26 Counties is in a worse state than the 6.
