GAA Discussion / Re: Offally U14 Shenanigans

Dinosaurs are alive and well and running U14 development squads in Offaly I see.
Soccer and rugby teams do it as well but it doesn't seem to attract the same outrage.

Children at that age should be encouraged to play a range sports. Dinosaurs shouldn't be tolerated in any sporting body.

Zelensky may well be shady, as a lot of politicians are, especially in that region.
But it takes a serious stretch to try and whitewash what Putin is doing by continually pointing at Zelensky.

There are a few in Ireland who clearly have a sneaking admiration for what is Putin doing.
The far left and far right are almost indistinguishable at times.

Waterford have peaked too early and set unreal expectations among their supporters.

The usual suspects from the People Before Profit - Anti Everything Alliance refuse to applaud to Zelensky in the Dail today.

Brooks get 5 nights in Croker, how has things changed?

A large majority of the residents are furious the gigs are going ahead. Aiken promotions held a meeting and told the residents they had confirmed 2 gigs and were looking to confirm another 3. Residents were told licencing laws have changed so they couldn't go to court like they did the last time to stop the shows. Cocky twats were only short of gloating about it.

Wouldn't give a guarantee that croker would be limited to 3 concerts per year anymore either from 2022 onwards
Iwhile garth isn't my cup an tae. What do these residents expect  they live beside a stadium that was there long b4 any off them were. Live with it. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it's reality. Thry knew where was a stadium there.

Usage of Croke Park has fundamentally changed since tbe rebuild. We have gone from 8 games a year to dozens, some under lights, with gigs and conferences
When was Croke Park only 8 games a year?
It has always been in regular use.

Before the rebuild. Dubs, Leinster x2, Leinster Final, 4x semi finals and 2x finals. So 9 games plus replays. Some cumann na mbunscoil stuff during the day, but nothing like current use.

The idea that locals knew there was a stadium there and should zip it is half the story and quite simply no other sports have these persistent resident problems
Dublin played league games there also.

Rassie won't care. The end justifies the means. He manged to soften up the officiating enough to swing the series.

The downside of professionalism is that New Zealand come up too often nowadays.
Years ago it was a hallmark occasion for the All Blacks to come on tour and play in Ireland.

My own profile name comes from my home club, Mullahoran Dreadnoughts. Not a chance I'd want that name to change, think it's one of the best and most iconic of GAA names out there.
A club in landlocked Cavan calls itself after a battleship!

Other counties will simply copy what Limerick do best and then improve on it.

Apparently he really put down Kildare in a podcast shortly after the Kerry defeat. Not sure what exactly he said, but the Newstalk guys were incredulous and said Kildare couldnt possibly keep him on.

Again not sure what he said, and the NT guys can be known for hyperbole, but Ger Gilroy said - people told me what he said was bad, but I thought it couldn't be that bad. Then I when I heard it was way worse!

Jack's post match interviews this year where all about Jack and what a great job Jack is doing.

Not sure he said that much about Kildare - I think all he said was you could walk the streets in Kildare and now know they were in a Leinster final, making a comparison to Kerry as to how its different and like a religion down there.

You could walk the streets of Kerry on Munster final week and not know they were in one.

I think Limerick will have too much for Waterford. While the scoreline against Galway looked close, there was never a point in the game where I thought we'd lose.
