Not really up to speed with the minor competition but Dublin never seem to reach the latter stages of it. Why? Massive massive pick. Too big? Too many players?
What say you

We can still only play 15 lads, and this year Kildare's best 15 and Meath's best 15 were better than our best 15.

All the best lads are put straight to the senior team early doors. Connolly, Brogan, McMahon, even Cluxton. All them lads. Only 17.

Tis big drain on the minors.

Realistically Dublin don't need to be good at minor level.

Not sure what you mean. Those players did not go into the senior squad when 17.

Looking at the bench from Sunday I think Dublin will certainly drop a notch or two over the next 5 years. Understandably when Connolly, Brogan and co are arguably among the best players ever to play the game!

If Dublin had won 3 minors in a row there would be outrage! Time to split Kerry!

Jinxy

That's a bit unfair.
In his prime he was, for me, the most consistent inside forward in the game.
Stevie O'Neill was a shadow of his former self towards the end, that doesn't diminish his achievements in the years prior to that.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Whatever about the rest, Bernard Brogan is not among the best players to play the game. In fact, he is lucky to be making the Dublin team IMO.

Catch yourself on man! He's top class. His brother was better however and carried Dublin for years!

Kildare have too much money.

Fair play to Kildare. They did both Meath and Mayo a favour this year.

He's been living off a couple of good seasons for 5 years now.
Those who get the name of an early riser can lie all day.
Last season he was the top scorer from play in championship with 6-19. His scoring and form has been well down this year and he will be lucky to start the replay.

Dublin have 11 minor titles. Kerry have 14 3 won in a row. So its not a bad record. Think they were in 2011 final won it 2012. Terrible record alright.

If Dublin won 3 minors in a row there'd be talk that Dublin should be split in two at minor level.

Exactly, proves the point people don't mind teams being good and winning, as long as its not Dublin which proves that there is a special hatred of all things Dublin, but that's fine, its all the sweater in victory when the Dubs win.
